Size is not everything – where have I heard that before? – at least with a Notebook mouse that is certainly true. Small it certainly is, but it still has two buttons and a wheel.

A fond farewell to a loyal friend.

Lexmark T420D

A laser with attitude, don’t get me wrong it performed flawlessly, it has extras as standard, how many lasers at this price have built in duplex, and it works fine.

X-Drive II

What can Santa bring the keen photographer who seems to have everything? This device stores images when away from your PC. So no more taking umpteen media cards, now you can take as many images as you like.

Review of Logitech® diNovo™ Media Desktop™
Let's start with the diNovo's biggest flaw, the price. At £200 this has to be one of the most expensive keyboard mouse combos ever to go on sale. But is it worth it? Forget the price for a moment and the diNovo is a fantastic piece of hardware. The first thing that strikes you is the keyboard is split into two parts, the main keyboard and the 'media pad' (otherwise known as the extra keys on the right hand side of a normal keyboard that you rarely use).
Until very recently the cost of a colour laser has been beyond the end user, only businesses could afford the cost of hardware and toners, suddenly they are affordable.

HP LaserJet 1010

Many years ago I purchased a second hand LaserJet 6MP it performed flawlessly until recently when for some reason it comes up with an undefined error, to repair it would cost more than the new 1010.

Philips DVDRW416K

Now a mere 650MB from a CD is far from enough space so DVD is the obvious way to go. There are however two distinct formats namely DVD+RW and DVD-RW this unit is one of the former.

Olympus C-350 Zoom

Like memories, photographs tend to fade with age. Fortunately a solution is readily available. Captured digital images can be stored and retrieved from your hard disk for printing. The results should be as vibrant and fresh as the day they were captured. You just need to match your photographic needs and financial considerations with an appropriate digital camera.
Priced at £249.99, the 3.2 mega pixel Olympus C-350 Zoom digital camera sits between budget offerings and high priced professional models. The C-350 Zoom follows the usual design format favoured by Olympus for its Camedia range of products. Silver in colour and reasonably compact in size, although I would not want to carry it around in my pocket for lengthy periods, the camera's lens remains concealed behind a sliding cover until it is needed.

HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5500

Most will know this is one huge plus for HP that came out of the merger with Compaq. Although I have used several Pocket PC’s I have never before used an iPAQ.
Does your notebook have a naff sound chip, has your desktop system got built in sound, is it one of those that is difficult, or near impossible to disable, here are two possible solutions.

CorelDRAW Essentials 2

A couple of years ago Corel launched the first edition of Essentials; it certainly was an essential purchase. Now at last Essentials 2 is available is this just as essential?

Aureon 5.1 Fun Games

If you promise to keep it to yourself I’ll let you into a secret. I can remember when the only choice you had for your listening pleasure was limited to mono sound. Those were the days. Now, thanks to advances in technology, we can immerse ourselves in a surround sound environment using multiple speakers. Whether it is music or gaming, the capability is now within everybody’s reach for an enhanced audio experience.
Why should a gadget be just hardware? Lots of software applications can perform a job that either would be difficult or close to impossible without them, the choice then would be to buy the product produced from a third party.

Archos AV320

Donato among others has cast envious eyes over the Archos A300 series units. So here is what I thought when I got a pre production model earlier this year.
Two companies lead the MP3 market, getting beyond 128MB means a hard disk, sometime ago Archos brought out a 6GB unit, that's a lot of MP3 files, now 20MB seems to be the base level. However with the AV300 series the biggest breakthrough, MP3, still images and also MPEG4 video but with a 8x6cm screen, that's 3.8 inches for the more mature amongst us. However it is also possible to watch the same output on your TV providing you have a SCART socket.

MG XPower SV

Maybe not your regular gadget, but i thought worth a mention as it is out for sale in UK on 1st November. It looks like a fantastic car, and with maximum speed over 200mph, its enough to give Michael Schumacher a run for his money!
There are nowadays a plethora of cards from cameras and other sources, most can be linked directly to PC’s to download content. However it is often easier to remove the card and use a Media Reader.
A keyboard and mouse are both vital pieces of kit for any computer user. So why not have them both wireless? However I found that their installation is not all a barrel of laughs.
A bluetooth headset that doesn't make you look like you have just escaped from a call centre! Very simple to use and functional at a good price aswell.
Like most of you reading this, you probably never wanted to be seen on public transport or walking through town and be seen  "talking to yourself"? Well rather than juggling with paperwork on the train and hoiding the mobile between my shoulder and ear, i finally gave in and bought a bluetooth headset to go with my Sony Ericsson T610. What was initially putting me off buying one was the prices when they all seemed to be over £100.

Casio 2575 Sports Watch

Sports watch providing stopwatch, distance measure, countdown timer... you get the idea? Just about everything you could as of something you put on your wrist while out running.
Ease of use? 6 out of 10 About a year ago my I started 'getting fit' - one of those things I've observed that people seem to do as the big 4-0 approaches.

Dyson DC04

Dyson products are great at demonstrating innovation that has an everyday use, so having had this vacuum for over 3 years, i thought that it deserves a mention here. Aswell as looking very stylish, it performs superbly well.
A few years ago, a number of friends used to rave about how great their "Dyson" was, so i thought i would pop round to the local electrical outlet to see what all the fuss was about. After the intital shock of the price, i soon realised how simple but effective this vacuum was, which then made the price look like excellent value.
Fed up with arguing with your teenage children about where they are going and when they'll be back? Well that's nothing compared to the arguments that I have with Word.
A laser printer has one huge advantage over an inkjet, for text printing the claimed print speeds are always achieved.
Relaxing at home and listening to the radio is a lot of people’s idea of real leisure, however in the evening even some FM channels are less than perfect.

Super DVD Writer

While DVD writers are fast becoming a must-have gadget, the lack of any agreement over a standard format could prove problematic. Fortunately manufacturers are now producing units that support both the DVD-RW and DVD+RW formats.
After spending a month with Motorola A920 here are my views.
The tablet's just a laptop, unless you've got software that truly caters to its talents. MindJet's Mind Manager is one such product.

Orange SPV

A phone using a Microsoft OS? How often does it crash may be your first question, but you'd be surprised...
