By donning the guise of Artemis Wilde you can take on the role of the Pet Detective in the game of Animal Sanctuary Shuffle.  Developed by those inventive people at Elephant Games, this title forms part of the Wilde Investigation series of offering that combine Hidden Object game play and puzzle solving based on the behaviour of our animal friends.  Available in Collector’s Edition format, Sanctuary Shuffle comes with bonus elements consisting of Achievements, Collectible items, a Shop feature plus a Secret Room feature.  The game can be played in a choice of Casual, Advanced, Hardcore or Custom difficulty with the usual options of adjustable volume levels with the game being viewed in full and wide screen mode.

The game opens with a series of screen segments which appear as you click through them to advance a story line.  This format is used throughout the game as you progress through a variety of tasks involved in your work as an expert in dealing with our animal friends.  Following a series of mouse clicks to advance through these screen structures, you will be presented with a series of locations as part of a chain element.  This chain allows you to step back to a previous scene but you can only advance after a successful completion of the previous location.

The various locations you will need to encounter and deal with are based on your latest contract which is to help a Mr. Bee who requires your help in building up a dream sanctuary.  He will supply the land property while you supply the necessary talent to create solutions and the skill to communicate with the animals that are due to reside there.

Each location will feature a Hidden Object type challenge.  The Hidden Object challenge will be presented in a form that fits in with the current location and will present you with a list of required items to find within the appropriate area.  Features such as using the red colour to indicate when an item might be hidden or opting for silhouettes and scene sections are used.  In some cases you might need to replace items in their correct position within the scene.

Along with the Hidden Object scene, the location will contain a mini game puzzle and the opportunity to earn money for later purchases.  Puzzle types might consist of putting together pieces in an irregular jigsaw or creating animals from various parts of an image.  Other puzzles types could involve Spot the Difference between scenes and designing a new home for the successfully captured red panda and making sure it was not lonely for company. 

You could at any time encounter certain animals who wish to communication with you thought process as you are presented with symbols which turn into the animal’s thoughts to help guide you and complete various tasks.  Often these tasks will involve tasks that relate to a runaway red panda which you need to track down and make sure it is settled in its new home.

Later you will need to put your energies towards the buildings that will make up the sanctuary and necessary facilities available to visitors.  In-game currency earned for completing tasks can be used to download unique wallpaper scenes once the main game has been completed.
