Developed by 8 Floor Games, Myth Finders is a Hidden Object Puzzle solving title. Providing you with access to various magical realms, the game sets you with puzzle solving problems in order to earn Stars. These Stars will then open up more details about the realm you are currently exploring and what to expect.
Your journey through the game is spread over 70 levels of Hidden Object searching and puzzle solving tasks which will begin in the land of Feriya. This mythical environment is the land of eternal spring and kind magic. Here you will encounter flowers that sing and trees whisper. It is the land where fairies are the guardians of peace, nature and emotion but danger might exist.
The journey you will need to undertake will cover locations known as Drakonia, Giganted, Gnomeriya, Uniconia, Noktariya, Gidralya and Gorgonia. I just glad I can get away with just typing these place names, although my spell checker might disagree, rather than having to pronounce them.
At each location you will need to complete the same set of challenges as you attempt to earn the 27 Stars available from each location. There will be at least two instances of linked Hidden Object scenes featuring their own required list of required items to find. You can switch between either scenes when searching for items.
Assisting you in these linked Hidden Object scenes will be a zoom option and a hint feature. Slightly disappointingly, the zoom option requires you to return to its icon when you need to deactivate it rather than use just a right wheel click. I also found that the hint failed to identify one particular item when I used it.
Other puzzles making up a location's set of tasks could include finding the differences between two side-by-side scenes. By swapping circular elements you could need to create a scene or search for the parts of an object broken up into pieces and then scattered with other items. Colouring an outline scene using the mouse as you paint brush and completing a Jigsaw are other possibilities that might await you.
Having earned enough Stars from your visit to each of the different locations, you will be allowed to move on to the next part of this magical land. As well as the permission to move on, you will also be rewarded with more information regarding your current location as you learn of forgotten legends and unlock ancient mysteries. You will be able to collect rare artefacts and earn trophies to celebrate your successes as you eventually are granted access to the Myth Finder's album.
