Taking a trip to Norway could lead to some incidents of ancient magic and a threat from one of the old Gods.

With this title in the Mystery of Myths series, Domini Games takes you on a trip to Norway.  Cast in the role of a Ministry of Mysteries agent, Elijah Reed, you will need to encounter ancient magic and the force of Norse Legends as you tackle the Mystery of the Fjords in its Collector’s Edition format of this Hidden Object Adventure game.

As usual this Domini Games title allows for a standard set of adjustment option settings.  You can set various audio volume levels plus adjust the brightness level and opt for a custom cursor and the use of special effects.  An optional tutorial feature is available to lead you through several tasks that will appear during the game as the mouse cursor changes shape to indicate when different actions are possible.  You will also be introduced to the various tools that will accompany you during visits to different locations.  The tutorial will also feature an example of Hidden Object game play with an option to switch to Match 3 action and mini game puzzle as you select either Easy or Hard versions.

This adventure begins in earnest as you travel to Bergen in Norway to investigate reports of strange goings-on.  Making use of tools that include a Journal with sections for Notes and Tasks section, Map facility, Inventory, Strategy Guide and a rechargeable Hint feature, you will need to visit local amenities to discover more about the current location situation.  Following introductions to Fabian, who is not what he initially appears to be and Freya, an expert in Norwegian mythology, you need to check out problems.

By making full use of the supplied available tools, you get to encounter characters such as Ratatosk the guardian of Ancient paths, Vagarims, Vallcyrie, Jotunn who is the Frost Giant, Signd the Midgard, Skuld who sacrificed herself to save the world of men and gods.  You will also get to meet Loki who is responsible for all the different incidents that is affecting the world thus causing further problems.

Your meeting with these characters will be brought about by the appearance of portals which allow for the residents of one world to cross-over to another location.  With help from some of your new friends, you will need to get the invading beings to return to their original world.  However matters are not helped by a broken portal which needs repairing and the schemes of Loki which are causing for further disruption. 

Various mini game puzzles and Hidden Object scenes will need to be completed as you set about different tasks.  While Hidden Object scenes, indicated by an outbreak of sparkles, will present you with the option to switch to Match 3 action, the mini game puzzles on offer will generally gives you a choice of Easy or Hard version that comes with and option to Skip the puzzle if it proves too difficult.
