Enchanted Solitaire 2 is Manicware's follow-up title to its previous excursion into the world of Solitaire game play. As before the actual game play will be set in a mystical forest where the likes of magicians and other entities go to practice their skills. This environment can be personalised to suit different tastes with adjustable volume levels for background music and appropriate sound effects plus opt for a user-selectable design to be shown on the back of the cards being used,
Following the pattern established during the first title, the game's Solitaire game play is split into ten chapters. Each of the chapters will consist of ten levels of difficulty to test your card playing skill. You will need to successfully complete each level within a chapter before you will be allowed to progress through the subsequent levels and complete a chapter.
With regards to the Solitaire game play on offer everything will be kept as simple as possible. You simple need to remove all the cards from a layout by following the basic rule of increasing a chain of cards that are either one higher or lower than the previous selection. The card layouts will be presented in a story-book style scene taken from the magic forest element. Complete the removal and you can progress to the next level but the layout will need to be replayed if you fail to complete the removal.
To assist you in the clearance you are granted certain tools. A successful clearance will bring the reward of an Undo and Joker card. An Undo option lets you step back the last move carried while a Joker can be used as whatever card you need to continue a chain. These special rewards come your way for each level that you complete in a chapter but tend to use up the resources you have built up through the chapters.
Overall I feel that this version of Solitaire is best suited to the younger members of the family who will appreciate the magic forest environment and the need to balance their resources with the need to make progress. This title can be downloaded from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99. The game requires a 2.0 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 165MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
