Double Trouble at Jamberton

You can practice your skills at becoming a Witch as you tackle multiple tasks.

They do state that "Trouble often comes in pairs".  Maybe that was the premise behind the situation that you encounter at the start of Halloween Trouble 7 offering.  This game, developed by Kasual Kode and subtitled "The Apprentice", is a Match 3 title that opens as the village of Jamberton is being invaded by magical mushroom while it is also suffering from the effects being caused by spells casts by the evil Wizard Sahruk.  Adding to this state of affairs, the village Witch Ronida, who would normally deal with such matters, had gone missing.

As a result you find yourself, as the Witch's Apprentice, having to deal with these matters and return things to normal by removing the mushrooms and stopping the Wizard's spells.  In order to achieve these aims you will need to complete 100 levels of action.  Most of these levels will be based on Match 3 game play as you clear the necessary tiles from grids using the standard modes of operation.

The grids in this Match 3 game often feature blocked areas which will need clearing plus locks that need to be removed with a set number of keys.  The grids will contain a mixed bunch of tiles with some having attributes that can be put to use when necessary.  Power-ups are provided for use when needing a hint regarding which area to tackle next, removing a tile and shuffling the content.

At various time the Match 3 game play will allow you a break from the standard diet by switching to mini game play.  In some cases you will need to find several items in a Hidden Object scene or play a hand of Solitaire to uncover special gold cards.  Other types of puzzles include releasing a tile from a blocked area or complete a jigsaw.

These levels, whether of the Match 3 or mini game puzzle type, will arrive classified as quests.  Some will be delivered automatically while other will be received when visiting various village residents who are encountering specific problems either from the mushrooms or the Wizard's spells.  In many cases these problems will require several stages before they can be successfully concluded.

Halloween Trouble 7 - The Apprentice can be played with the usual volume adjustment levels plus graphics displayed in Fast or High quality with a choice of Casual or Expert difficulty in a mode that could be Endless, Time limited or Move restricted.  You can download this title from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99 or from Big Fish Games where it is priced at £15.18.  The game requires a 1.6 GHz processor with 2048MB of RAM and 272MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
