According to the company the “U” series is designed to reflect your unforgettable photos and your unique sense of style and it “shines with impressive features and gorgeous, eye-catching design at an unbelievable value.” To this end optical spectrum hybrid deposition is employed to obtain its dual-tone “liquid surface” which will be offered in either Moonlight Blue or Twilight Purple. In addition the back is laser carved with 0.3mm ultra-thin stripes which provides an attractive appearance that reduces the effect of fingerprints.

Based on Qualcomm® Snapdragon 636 running Android 8.1 it has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which can be extended by means of a microSD in one of the SIM slots.

On the rear of the phone is the 16MP + 5MP dual camera with phase-detection autofocus and dual LED flash together with the fingerprint sensor. The 13MP front camera with its LED flash provides HDR (1920 x 1080) resolution.

It has both 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC. The physical connections are a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB type-C. The 3600mAh battery is claimed to provide 88 hours standby, 13 hours continuous playback or 12 LTE usage. However, even though it will be supplied with a 5V 2A charger there will not be the fast charging option that the type-C connector allows.

As well as GPS there are also number of additional features. There is an ambient light sensor and other sensors for proximity, motion G, compass and gyro as well as a sensor hub for activity tracking. Overall, the aim is provide an phone that will tick all the right boxes for the fashion-conscious user at a more affordable price.
