News has just reached me that DOOGEE, the technology company set up in Spain during 2013, has launched a new smartphone. This product is the company's N40 Pro model. I have been informed that this smartphone combines elements such as a large battery capacity, a Quad camera arrangement set-up, Octa-Core processor and a finished look that might have you drooling. So lets take a quick look at some of the device's specifications before I actually get a chance to handle this product for a review.
Available in a choice of Midnight Blue, Classic Black, Forest Green or Caramel Brown, the N40 Pro has a leather design that could appeal to many. The N40 Pro has a 6.52-inch dewdrop display that delivers a resolution of 720 x 1620 pixels and a 269 PPI pixel density.
DOOGEE has opted to go with a MediaTek Helio P60 Octa-Core processor. This processor consists of four Arm Cortex-A53 and four Arm Cortex-A73 that is set to run at 2.0 GHz and aided by an Arm Mali-G7 MP3 GPU. As standard the smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM.
Providing the power to get you up and running, the N40 Pro has a 6380 mAh battery. This element is rated at delivering 15 days when on standby. For more interactive use, you should get 28 hours of call time. According to DOOGEE this should enable you to get between one and three days of normal use as you go about your usual business.
Going with the current pattern that has fast become a standard, the N40 Pro has a four camera arrangement on the rear of its body to satisfy most eventualities. This camera arrangement is made up of Sony® units delivering 20MP + 8MP + 8MP + 2MP. Of course no modern camera arrangement would be complete within the Selfie option and in this case you get a front-mounted Samsung® 16MP camera. This collection of lenses offers features such as 120º wide angle capture, macro capture and a portrait option. The front and rear cameras offers support for Picture, Beauty, Bokeh and Mono modes.
Supplied with Android 11, the N40 Pro other features include 24W Fast Charging, OTG reverse charging, fingerprint recognition and Face Unlock. I was slightly disappointed to see that Bluetooth support was limited to version 4.2 when version 5 of this technology is currently available. The smartphone is a dual SIM card device thus allowing you to mix a SIM with a memory card to increase storage by as much as 256GB.
As part of its launch event, the first 50 people ordering this smartphone from AliExpress, prior to 31st July, will get the N40 Pro for $99.99. The next 150 orders will then be charged $109 before the N40 Pro reverts to its normal price of $129.99.
