With a new set of experts to lead the way, e-Funsoft expands its catalogue of Match 3 titles.

e-Funsoft has added to its collection of Match 3 series of offerings.  This latest addition is entitled "Arkan Solas - The Haunting of Ashfell Manor" which deals with the investigation of an old Manor has been designated as suitable for demolished as the result of strange sounds and a mysterious figure being seen floating around the building.  Naturally matters can not be left in this state and so a team of experts, made up of Arkan Solas, Dr. Kraus and Elowen Thorne, are called in to investigate and discover the truth about the building in this Match 3 game..

This investigation takes the form of a Match 3 action spread over 70 levels.  As usual with e-Funsoft titles, this action takes a fairly standard format.  The 70 levels of game play are spread over five chapters that each contain a series of levels where you need to remove a set challenge of tiles from the presented grid.  You can create groups of three and more similar tiles by swapping two adjacent tiles.  These tiles then disappear and are replaced by other tiles falling downwards to provide the opportunity to complete the challenge.

Tiles can also be removed by using the supplied power-ups which sit on the left side of the grid.  You can have the ability to produce additional power-ups by creating groups of four or more similar tiles.  In such cases you will be rewarded with a bomb like device within the grid that can be used to clear tiles.

As each grid challenge is completed you will be rewarded with stars.  These stars can be used to purchase upgrades for the current chapter.  These upgrades involve specific action which involve advancing the story line with a static scene that has printed dialogue.  These linking scenes do contain a Skip option allowing you to return to the Match 3 clearance action.

Recently e-Funsoft has taken the decision to enhance its take on Match 3 game.  Along with the numerous levels of Match game play, each chapter now also includes an extra task.  This task is in the form on a mini game puzzle.  In this particular title, the extra challenge will be in the form of a Hidden Object scene.  You will be expected to locate a series of items listed in text format that are integrated into the scene.  In order to be successful, the items need to be found within a set time period.  The scenes used for this additional feature do fit in with aspects of the Ashfell Manor storey.

You can download "Arkan Solas - The Haunting of Ashfell Manor" from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99 or from Big Fish Games priced at £5.96. The game requires a 1.5 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 130MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
