Christmas Wonderland 16, available in Collector’s Edition format, is the latest addition to Casual Arts series of Hidden Object and Puzzle solving titles.  As its title might suggest, this offering has a strong festive theme as you work through a line of locations that also features various puzzle solving tasks.  This title has been set up so that you have the ability to create profiles allowing different players to tackle the game in an environment with adjustable volume levels and a choice of mouse pointer cursor.

With a starting point that opens with Santa’s Design Studio, you will need to work through seven specific locations containing numerous items that will need to be found.  Among the more general items, each location will contain golden angels, presents lost by Santa, examples of Frosty the Snowman and an icon that allows you to grab an image of the scene.  Along with these specific items, you will be required to find more general articles. 

Presented in text format, these general articles could be coloured blue when the item will involve a task that needs to be carried out.  If the text item is coloured red then it will be concealed in some manner.  In some cases the different items required could be located in a secret area whose presence is shown by an outbreak of sparkles. 

At the completion of each of these location with its list of required Hidden Object list, you will be faced by a mini game puzzle.  The game has access to a variety of puzzle types.  You could be asked to recreate a scene by rotating segments, swapping bands of a scene, find matching pairs of objects within areas, recreate a newspaper front page.  Other types include linking bags of carrots to the correct reindeer, spot the difference between scenes and put together the pieces of a jigsaw.

Once you have worked your way through the main game levels, you will be able to tackle bonus content.  These extra items will feature bonus levels and puzzles, access wallpaper and music sections plus tackle an extreme mode as you will need to find all the Hidden Object items stored within every scene in the game.
