Elephant Games has returned to the world of Leprechauns with the follow-up to its "King of Fools - Lucky seasons" title. This follow-up, entitled "Lucky seasons - End of the Rainbow", is available in Collector's Edition format. for this Hidden Object Adventure offering which tells the tale of Will, a leprechaun, who on returning to his village after a period of absence, finds it abandoned by family, friends and other members of the community. The only sign of life in the area was that of numerous strange mushrooms which is hardly the welcome a weary traveller expects on his return.
Playing this game gives you a choice of opting for Casual, Advanced, Hardcore or Custom difficulty level. With you cast in the role of Will, the previously mentioned leprechaun, you will need to discover what has caused all the residents to disappear. In the course of your investigation you will discover that the appearance of the strange mushrooms has been brought about by the activities of a creature known as Drauberg. The Drauberg is a creature who is well known for causing mischief and this was obviously one of his better efforts.
By using the effects caused by the over-power smell given off by the mushrooms, Drauberg has been able to inflict a kind of hypnotic state on the villages who were now compelled to obey the creature's every wish and command. The result of this state of circumstances will have the effect of removing the special powers that have been bestowed on Leprechauns allowing them to bring luck to deserving members of the human race. It will also nullify the Leprechaun ability that allows them to change their complete physical appearance when coming into contact with humans. This was obviously a situation that would require your attention to restore matters.
In order to correct this situation and defeat Drauberg, you will need to help guide Will through a series of various tasks that will bring about a situation that requires the use of the Elixer of Light and the Hammer of Light. These devices will come together to create a magic potion that will bring about a change to the Drauberg personality and make it behave reasonable.
The use of this magic potion was devised by an early Leprechaun who, to make sure the solution would never be forgotten, sacrificed himself as the final required element. In order to make use of this solution, Will need to solve numerous mini game puzzles and Hidden Object game play to receive the required elements that form part of the process.
While a little confusing at the start, this game does grow on you as you delve further into its story line. The game can be downloaded from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99. It is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £10.48. The game requires a 2.5 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 918MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
