And the March winner is...

The lucky winner of the excellent Humax 19" LCD television is...

patootie, in Cambridgeshire.

Patootie says her existing TV was well and truly on it's last legs so she is thrilled to have won, and last we heard was busily reading through the manual while waiting for some help to lift her old set out of the way! You can see all competition winners, and details of past competitions on our special winners page.

You didn't win? If you need a new TV - and the 19" Humax sounds like your cup of tea then don't forget that Humax have extended their exclusive special offer for GadgetSpeak readers - £100 off bringing the price to £199.

Full details of the offer and how to claim are on the review page.

The offer ends on the 15th April - so if you want to take advantage then do so now!

Who won the Brennan JB7?

Brennan JB7 media jukebox

I know you're all dying to know!

The winner is...

kimmy who is from Northampton

If you didn't win - and I know a lot of you wanted to - then you still have the option of buying a JB7 directly from Brennan with a £20 discount using our exclusive GadgetSpeak offer.

Simply visit the Brennan shop, make your purchase and then enter the special code gadget08 at the checkout. This offer extends until the end of May 2008!

You can see all our winners on our special winners page.

This competition created a lot of interest. Partly I think because the JB7 is a very good idea very well executed, but also because in these days of ever increasing complexity it's quite refreshing for someone to stand up and make something simple that does not try to do everything.

May's competition? We're just finishing the copy - it'll be up very soon. Until then it'll be a surprise. Everyone that's already logged in this month is of course automatically entered!

Humax LCD TV offer extended

To accompany last months competition, Humax also offered GadgetSpeak visitors and members the opportunity of buying the Humax 19" LCD Digital TV with a £100 discount - reducing the price by a third to £199, making an already excellent product even better value.

Reader 'MCS' had problems using the discount code and posted a comment on the review. When we investigated with Humax we discovered a problem that would affect people using the FireFox or Safari browser. They've now been able to fix the problem.

As a thank you to GadgetSpeak and our readers they've offered to extend the £100 discount for an additional two weeks - expiring now on the 15th April. For details and the discount code take a look at the review.

So... if you've not won in our competition you can still get hold of one of these excellent products at a very reasonable price.

It also goes to show that if you have problems - it's always worth telling people!

February prizedraw - Nescaf Dolce Gusto

Nescafé Dolce Gusto

A little late, but we now have our prizedraw information up for February. This time we have a Nescafé Dolce Gusto to be won by one lucky member. Our review of this looking coffee machine was the most read article on GadgetSpeak in January - with almost 20% more reads than the second most popular article!

This was quite possibly because Nescafé were advertising the Dolce Gusto quite heavily in January - but nevertheless it is undoubtedly a popular product.

You can read the full review here.

The competition is so simple to enter. If you're not a member then sign-up now. If you are a member, then you just have to log-in.

Our November winner - Terfyn won a weekend with an Astom Martin AMV8 - you can read about his experiences here!

Santa's Sack - day 10 and we've reached half way!

Presents

Difficult to believe we're already at day 10 in our 20 day Santa's Sack give away! It's getting more and more difficult to think of something witty, entertaining, coherent, intelligent and informative to say in the daily competition email (particularly as I'm sure most would agree I've not managed that in the first 10 days email!). Any suggestions on a post card - or just leave a comment down below!

Hope you're enjoying the competition so far - we've had some great prizes so far including the excellent 160G byte HDD video recorder from TopUp TV and the Myvu Media Viewer glasses that aren't even easily available in the UK yet.

The best is arguably yet to come though with the excellent Humax PVR, another chance to win the Top Up TV video recorder, the cool Chronos II DAB radio from Pure and of course, our top prize of the Polaroid Digital TV.

For a full list of what's still to be won, please check our special in Santa's Sack page!

Our winners page is also filling up nicely. We've still not heard back from one of our Logi3 i-station winners though - so please do check your email!

Santa's Sack to be opened Saturday!

Santa' little helper

December is fast approaching - and with it our biggest members prizedraw so far. We've been working very hard to get everything sorted here at GadgetSpeak - and we're just about there. Now we all just need to catch up on the sleep we've missed.

Thanks to the various organisations sponsoring this competition we've managed completely fill Santa's Sack with some of the best gadgets we've seen this year. Most have been or are in the process of being reviewed - so you can read exactly what we thought!

We have 18 different products in the sack, including a star prize of a Definia Digital LCD television. You can see the full list on our Santa's Sack page.

There will be a separate draw each day for something in the sack, but to keep an air of suspense we're not telling you what prizes will be drawn on which day, not until the day at least! This is of course a clever wheeze to make sure you come back each day to see what's happening at GadgetSpeak. It does mean one of you is going to win the Teletubby phone dangler though!

Want to know more? Check out our Santa's Sack page and if you have any questions then jot them down below as a comment and I'll try and answer them!

Watch out for Santa's Sack - coming to GadgetSpeak this December

Santa and his sack

Christmas is once again just around to corner. Santa has been in touch to say he's taking reindeer out for a short practice run before "the big day" to deliver a special Santa's Sack to GadgetSpeak. We're told that this sack is full of wondrous gadgets. Santa can't stay around for the whole month, he's got a few other things to do, so he's deputised us to make sure some lucky GadgetSpeak members have an early Christmas.

Want to know more? Be sure to come back to GadgetSpeak over the next few days to learn more!

If you're not a member - why not sign up now? More details of Santa's Sack will be posted in Novembers newsletter!

Octobers competition - last nights updates

I'm sure many of you spotted last nights deliberate (!) mistake where we accidently left last months prize draw in the weekly site summary we email to members. Rather red faces here in the office today! Of course the F1 drive of a life-time was Octobers competition (it did at least say it was for October!). No - unfortunately we don't have another of those available for Novemeber.

Due to being far too busy, copy changes to the newsletter were missed.

We will have a new prize-draw for November as soon as we've had 5 minutes to sit down, take a few deep breaths and sort out something exciting to offer all our members. At the same time we'll do the draw for October and get in touch with the lucky winner.

Apologies again.

(what - you don't get the invaluable weekly updates? Apart from competition news - it includes a summary of all the product reviewed in the previous seven days. An ideal place to hunt for Christmas gift ideas for that hard to please family member. Why not sign up? If you're already a member then you can change your email preferences in your account settings.)

Want to drive a Formual One racing car?

Formula One Racing Car

You could do with GadgetSpeak. After the success of our first two months members competitions we have something rather special, and a little different for October.

Nero are sponsoring this months competition to coincide with the latest release of their excellent Nero 8 suite - read the review here!

Nero 8

The lucky winner for October will have a choice. There wasn't a lot of room to describe the prizes on the login page, or the registration page so I thought I'd do so here.

Nero are also offering two runners up prizes of copies of Nero 8.

Formula One Experience

If chosen by the winner, the culmination of this days event will be the chance to drive an ex-Formula One racing car around a race track. That's only the highlight of the day though.

Before that you'll be driven around the track in a hot hatch or sports saloon by an experienced driver. I was lucky enough to do this a few years back and it's quite an experience to see just how fast some of these 'standard' cards can go, and the best way to take each turn.

Next it's your turn - driving either an MG, Ferrari 911 or a Porsche - with your instructor sat next to you offering tips and advice.

As long as you do well in that - you get to take the F1 car for a spin!

What more could you ask for? Well - just to complete the prize, you'll be offered accomodation for two and dinner!

Aston Martin AMV8 for the weekend

Be the envy of the neighbourhood with this little beauty sat on the drive. You could leave it there for the whole weekend, but we think you'll probably find somewhere to go.

You'll have the car for the best part of four days - from Friday morning through to Monday afternoon. Where would you go?

Whichever prize the eventual winner chooses, we're sure they will have a lot of fun!

Ready for Octobers prize draw?

We had about double the number of entrants in our second months prize draw - this time for the new iPod Nano recently announced by Apple. Thanks to all of you that entered! We've now chosen the lucky winner, and the three runners up that each receive a set of i-Station speakers, kindly donated by Logic3.

We'll contact the winners tomorrow, and as soon as they've confirmed their details and delivery addresses we'll pop their user names up here somewhere (might be time to create a winners page!)

Octobers prize is something pretty special (*not* another iPod this month!).

I need to find a few minutes to put together the details and get it posted up on the site. That doesn't stop you registering or logging in now though - you'll still be entered into the prize draw.

Just to re-iterate my message from last month though - please read the details on the login/registration page. We've still had a number of people that either haven't entered their name/phone number, haven't agreed to receive our rather cool weekly digest/newsletter or haven't gotton around to activating their account. The name/phone number is there to help us contact you and to weed out those few individuals that try registering lots of times on different emails to try and improve their chances of winning!

If you haven't won in September - good luck for october!
