"Blue Moon","Mixo"Continuing its love affair with the protection of wild animals and the condition of all elements of nature, Mixo Games has added to its Twistingo family of products.  This latest title, namely Blue Moon, deposits you on the island of Lunara which has been hit by an ice-age type of coating caused by the effect of the Blue Moon condition.  You have been assigned the task of reverting the island to its more normal appearance.  Providing guidance, as you carry out various tasks to restore Lunara, will be residents of the island such as Lana and Soran.

The game breaks the restoration of the island and its animal life into specific areas involving different tasks.  Along with dealing with shore line issues, you will need to travel inland and restore various animal types to their natural habitat.  The completion of the various tasks will bring a reward in the form of moon stones which, when combined, will restore the island of Lunara

Making a regular appearance throughout the game is that of Hidden Object game play as you are required to find individual items concealed within an area.  I use the term "area" rather than scene because this aspect of the game used various scenes that are linked in a variety of ways.  In some cases switching between the various scenes or locations will be automatic but not always.  Often you will need to decipher a clue to identify the required object or locate a tool that will make it available.  As well as the multi-scene approach to Hidden Object action, the game also delivers tasks as you search for pairs and an occasional scene that features necessary items listed on name tag identifiers.

Mixed in with the main Hidden Object game play are a variety of other puzzle formats that need to be solved.  You might need to open a locked door by removing a series of panels that can only move in a certain direction.  Bingo Blitz is a puzzle that will challenge you to complete Bingo cards by matching the listed numbers will those present in a moving chain of numbered balls that are snaking around the screen.  Another puzzle involves a variation of Mah-jong.  In the game's version you are only allowed to pair tiles for removal if they match a tile presented in a separate panel.  You could also be faced by completing a hand of Solitaire by removing a layout of cards.

As this title is available in Collector's Edition format, it comes bundled with a number of bonus items.  This extra items will become available once you have restored Lunara to its natural beauty.  These extras include additional puzzles classified as Bingo Blitz, Time matching, Locked door and Solitaire.  You also get access to a Gallery featuring scenes of the island showing its natural beauty.
