News from Huawei
Due to be available later this month, Huawei has announced the arrival of an addition to its Huawei P smart series. This is the all-new Huawei P smart 2021 model. Aimed at meeting the smartphone needs of today's young consumer, this latest addition combines a large display, enhanced battery performance support and a smarter camera facility for capturing the range of memories so important to us.
As I have yet to get my hands on or even see one of these handsets, I have to rely on information from Huawei for details of the product. The Huawei P smart 2021 has been developed around a 3D ergonomic design. Huawei believes this will give the user a firm and comfortable grip when being used. The easily accessible side-mounted fingerprint power button provides the ability to unlock the phone and wake up the device to perform its various tasks.
The Huawei P smart 2021 features a 6.67-inch Full HD display. This screen delivers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 for an immersive viewing experience whether viewing videos, admiring photos, playing games or other more general tasks. Built-in TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light eye comfort settings that will help to maximise the device's comfort on the eyes.
The Huawei P smart 2021 has a 48MP AI Quad camera set up. The 48MP main camera, located on the rear of the unit, features a ½-inch sensor to maximise light intake when used for daytime and night photography. The camera's AI capability, especially useful during night mode photography, makes use of algorithms to achieve multi-frame noise reduction while producing bridge photos in improved clarity. Along with the 48MP camera lens, the rear of the Huawei P smart 2021 also features a 120 degrees 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth camera. Keeping Selfie capturers happy is the front-mounted 8MP camera with a Circular Flash facility.
When storing captured images, apps, videos and games, the Huawei P smart 2021 comes with 128GB of internal storage. This handset can handle external storage of up to 512GB. Providing the power to drive this device is a large 5000 mAh battery. Huawei rates this battery of being capable of supporting video playback of around 23 hours. The Huawei P smart 2021 comes with 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge support. This technology is capable of giving two hours of uninterrupted video viewing from a mere 10 minutes of charging.
As is Huawei's usual practice, the Huawei P smart 2021 will come with the latest version of the EMUI overlay, that is EMUI 10.1. It will come with AppGallery pre-installed, giving users access to Huawei Video, Huawei Music and Huawei Reader. With a price point of £199.99, the Huawei P smart 2021 will be available from the Huawei store plus selected operators and retailers. The handset will be available in a choice of Crush Green, Blush Gold or Midnight Black.
