DIGIMIGHT has combined a scenario based on a Gold Rush theme with a coating for Nonogram puzzle solving game play.

This resulting game cast you as a member of the work force who will help Harry Walker and his crew in their new venture after they decided that the farming life was not their scene.  This work will involve working your way through 150 levels of Nonogram game play as you produce mosaics by following numeric clues arranged across the top and down the left side of grid layouts.

The games 150 levels have been divided into five chapters dealing with the story of Harry search for a fortune during the California Gold Rush period.  Each chapter consisting of 30 levels will be set at a particular location set out in a treasure map which you must follow in order to progress.

As well as the assortment of Nonogram grids, and associated game play, the game features linking story telling sequences containing a stock of eight 3D elements that are presented on a random basis for completing Nonogram levels.  These elements will need to be positioned on a silhouette area so that they come together to form a scene of your next location while providing a pass to enter the next chapter.  You can either place these elements on the silhouette immediately or wait until you have the full set.

As well as testing your Nonogram skills and 3D building expertise, this game also features an occasional mini game puzzle.  You will be challenges to complete various scenes that have somehow become distorted.  These images arrive as circular bands which need to be correctly positioned by turning them clockwise or anti-clockwise so that they fit together and reveal the scene.

Linking together the various elements of this game will be rather static cut-scenes.  These scenes feature help move the story line along but add little of real interest.  Disappointingly the dialogue is printed in printed text format rather than being delivered by a voice actor.

You can download "Gold Rush Griddles" from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99.  It is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £7.48.  The game requires a 1.0 GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 342MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
