The ACER Vero RS272 measures 61x36x1cm the last measurement is along the top with up to 3cm at the base. The stand is 20cm square and around 1cm tall. The base of the screen is 9cm above the stand.
When you first connect it you might be in for a surprise as the top half of the rear has a 'Mood Light' which stays on for a few seconds during initial booting.
The connections are just below the 'Mood Light' and they are HDMI and VGA, there are also two two 3.5mm Audio sockets and finally the power input adapter all these are accessible from the left side of the rear.
Its quite unusual to have a 27inch panel that has a maximum screen size of 1920x1080 but for those without extra graphic quality then its nice to have the display just that little bit larger. The refresh rate 120Hz and the response time 4ms. While units costing around double this units cost have better figures the use for viewing videos etc. work well and there is no sign of any of the things you do not want like fluttering of the display and it works just as well in all lighting conditions.
It has a reasonable set of built in speakers.
It is said to be wall mountable but I did not try that.
All the units adjustments are controlled from a single push button at the centre of the base of the screen.
The unit is made of 85% recycled and 5% ocean bound plastic. It feels solid.
While it has good back and forward movement there is no height adjustment or any side to side movement.
It may seem that I have picked up a lot of things it does not have and certainly I would not recommend it for those playing a lot of games mainly because of higher resolution availability. The big plus is the lower price point. As stated it is sustainably designed. It comes with a two year guarantee.
The Acer Vero RS272 is available from Currys with free next day delivery for £124.
