Brando 22x Lens for SmartPhones

While modern SmartPhones can take excellent images and videos one thing that a decent DSLR camera often has is a good optical zoom, here is a kit that can give your SmartPhone the ability to get great zoom for your images.

I have tried this unit with success on three different Smart Phones all with single lenses, I do not think it would work on dual lens units.

The complete kit comes in a fitted zip up case the 22x zoom lens which on close inspection is F1.8 250mm marked 4K 22x Telephoto Lens. It has adjustment at the camera end as well as at the lens end it weighs 150 grams without the supplied lens cap.

So this is designed to be used when mounted as 150grams on the back of a camera will at the very least unbalance it. So a very nice small tripod is supplied minimum length is 15cm and maximum is 30 cm and any amount between the two measurements is possible with each leg being able to tilt up to 30 degrees. It attaches to the 22x telephoto lens around 4.5cm from the back of your Smart Phone.

There is a universal clip that allows you to fit the lens to your Smart Phone and adjust to the position of the camera on its rear. The suppled fitted case which holds things in place has a fitted pocket for things like the lens cap and the supplied cleaning cloth.

There is a fold out ten side 10x7cm well-illustrated Get Started guide that walks you through everything.

While it seems strange - to me anyway – to attach a telephoto lens to the rear of a Smart Phone it does work but the drawback is the instant click and capture is lost but then if you need to capture something at distance this was never an option.

I found that top a small wall was an ideal balance point and unless you have a very steady hand do not try to hold the tripod focus the image and then capture as it is unlikely to get the image you want.

Another thing you are warned about when using this product is the use of a phone case as this will at the least mean the connection between the lens and camera is lessened to the point where the image is flawed.

It is the rubber lens clip that connects to the phone to stop light getting to the camera lens except through the 22x telephoto lens.

As with all telephoto lens 22x in this case is maximum and the bigger the zoom the firmer the lens needs to be mounted just because you have 22x there is no need to use it and smooth adjustment to find the best image is far better than zooming to the maximum even if you can manage to keep it still.

The 22x Telephoto Lens for mobile phones is available from the link below for $54 (US) and they offer free worldwide delivery.
