Since being founded in 2010 Xiaomi has been busy developing smartphones and other smart hardware items that are connected by the Internet of Things (IoT) platform in order to push the boundaries of what is available from such devices. Recent developments announced by the company cover the launch of a new handset, namely the Mi 9 Pro 5G smartphone, and the arrival of new wireless charging devices including one particular offering that was claimed to be the world's first 30W wireless charging device available to the general public and fans of Xiaomi.
As part of the new wireless technology, Xiaomi has introduced an efficient 4.1 direct charge architecture that will replace Xiaomi's current 20W charging 2.1 direct charging feature. The new technology makes use of two levels of charge pump voltage reduction. Included in the new technology is the ability to improve efficiency while also reducing the heat that is produced during the actual charging process. Xiaomi believes that this new technology provides the best single battery direct charge currently available while the 30W Fan-cooled Wireless Charging Stand can charge a 4000 mAh battery from zero to 50% in approximately 25 minutes or produce a possible 100% charge in 69 minutes.
The Xiaomi wireless charging technology innovations also include high power wireless reverse-charging facility that utilises Bluetooth in order to separate the power transmission from the data communication. It also uses the mobile device's Bluetooth's function to transmit data thus reducing the chance of disconnecting while the wireless changing mode and improving stability plus benefitting the transmitting time and battery percentage information between devices.
Along with the new 30W technology Xiaomi is introducing a pair of new wireless charging accessories to work alongside the 30W wireless technology. These are the 30W Fan-cooled Wireless Charging Stand and the 20W Smart Tracking Wireless Charging Pad, The 30W Fan-cooled Wireless Charging Stand features a vertical air duct design that allows the air outlet to blow directly on to the attached phone in order to reduce obstructions and improve heat dissipation. It will also reduce the pressure of any dust trapped in the air duct. In use the 20W Smart Tracking Wireless Charging Pad provides automatic tracking while aligning its charging coils to a user's smartphone. This brand new transmission technology will display the receiving smartphone's charging status as useful feedback.
As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi has announced the forthcoming arrival of the company's Mi 9 Pro 5G handset. This particular product, as you would expect with Xiaomi's attitude towards development and new innovations, comes with support for four types of charging depending upon the user's needs and preferences. These types cover wired fast charging, wireless flash charging, wired OTG (On The Go) reverse charging and wireless reverse charging thus, hopefully, allowing the user to charge devices when and where it is needed.
Showing its commitment to the development of wired / wireless technology, Xiaomi is a drafting member of China's national wireless charging standards and a member of the WPC Wireless Charging Alliance. Xiaomi has teamed up with several industry leaders to form a wireless charging alliance. The company also hold dozens of patent in the wireless charging field.
