Cleaning Items and more

I was sent an email offering samples to review from a company called If You Care, I asked for household gloves and cleaning cloths, what I received was far more so I will tell you about what was delivered from ‘If You Care’. Before the pandemic of close to 18 months ago I am sure we all washed everything and wiped surfaces regularly, now I am certain we do all that and more and probably most people’s hands suffer from all the extra twenty second washes that take place numerous times a day.

Previously I never wore gloves for washing up and other kitchen tasks, certain bathroom tasks were all the gloves were worn for by me, now with all the extra washing gloves are worn nearly all the time so let’s look at those offered here.

Their Household Gloves come in small, medium and large. They are made of natural latex rubber, Fair Trade FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

The gloves are reusable and indeed I have been using them in my kitchen for several weeks. The box has a guide on the back as to what qualify as small, medium or large with the measurement taken as your four fingers lying flat just after the thumb leaves the have, 8cm small, 9.5cm medium and bigger is large.

Available from the link below for £5.99 -20% first order = £4.97.

Their Sponge Cloths come in a pack of five and are guaranteed compostable. I found them very absorbent and the packaging states they are washable up to 300 times. It also states one cloth replaces ‘up to 15 rolls’ of paper towels.

Available from the link below for £4.45.

Their Coffee Filters come in packs of 100 and are guaranteed compostable and the paper to make them comes from responsibly sourced wood. I was sent size 2 and size 4.

Size 2 is available from the link below for £3.49.

Their Paper Snack & Sandwich Bags come in a pack of 48 bags and have natural barrier properties with no paraffin wax. I found the contents did not bleed through the paper. They are 19x6.2x5.7cm and are guaranteed compostable.

Available from the link below for £4.90.

Their Large Baking Cups come in a box of 60, their mini Baking Cups come in a box of 90. I have yet to try these as I rarely bake cupcakes these days. The cups are stated to be compostable.

The large are available from the link below for £3.56.

The minis are available from the link below for £5.99.

Their Food Waste Bags come in a pack of 30 and are certified to have no Plasticizers and no Polyethylene and are certified compostable, they are 43x29cm and stated to hold up to 3 gallons.

Available from the link below for £8.04 Inc. delivery.

Their Tall Kitchen Bags are made from potato starch and have no Plasticizers and no Polyethylene and of course are compostable.

Available from the link below for £4.53

Finally Baking Parchment something I have yet to use as I normally just sprinkle flour on the baking surface of the tin but I will try them.

Their Baking Sheets are 33x41cm which is stated to be 1290 sq. cm. There are 24 in the pack.

Available from the link below for £4.16
