Developed by 8 Point Games, "Adventure Trip - Amazing Wildlife" combines Hidden Object game play with puzzle solving tasks.  The game offers the player a choice of three levels of difficulty.  While Easy and Medium levels have a relaxed style of play, Hard difficulty has a timed elements regarding the completion of tasks plus a longer wait for the Hint feature to recharge after each use.

Your Adventure Trip will cover 20 separate locations that are spread around the globe.  In each case the location will be represented by a Hidden Object scene populated with a whole range of objects.  Accompanying the scene will be a list of the items you need to find.  You do get the chance to select the manner in which the list of items will be displayed.   You could opt for a standard word list, one with missing vowels, scrambled words, pairs or silhouettes to represent the required items.  While most items will be visible in the main scene, some could hide themselves in a secret area identified by sparkles.

Although never actually featured in the required list, each scene will have a supply of three 8-balls and three compasses which are available for collection during your search of the scene.  As these additional items are only displayed one at a time, you will need to play a scene three times in order to collect the full quota of 8-balls and compasses.

Following the completion of the Hidden Object scene, your rewards (if you want to regard it as such), will be a puzzle that needs to be tackled next.  The game has a range of puzzles types that it tends to offer on a random basis.  You could be asked to complete a circular jigsaw, complete a Sudoku grid or pick pairs from face down cards.  Other puzzle types could include completing the removal of a Mah-jong layout, recreate an image by swapping sections, spot the differences between scenes, complete a word search or find a particular number of items within a scene.

Unlike other titles using a similar format to the order in which you tackle its content, 8 Point Games allows you the freedom in which order to tackle the locations and tackle the different content.  You can even totally miss a location and then return to it later.

As the progress through the game, you will build up a points total.  The points will be automatically converted into cash.  You can then use this cash to pay for the release of several caged animal being held at a Rescue Centre facility.

Adventure Trip is available in Collector's Edition format.  In this format you will be granted access to various features that are opened up once sufficient progress has been made.  You will be able to access Unlimited mode to find all the hidden objects concealed within every location and play extra bonus puzzles by collecting all the 8-balls and compasses found within the game.

You can download "Adventure Trip - Amazing Wildlife" from Gamehuse.com where it is priced at $19.99.  System requirements call for a 2.5 GHz processor with 4096MB of RAM and 587MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
