With a series of eight cases, there is plenty to keep you occupied with the puzzles they contain.
Continuing the style of play used in its Myth Finders title, 8 Floor Games sets you the task of solving detective mysteries from the 50s and 60s eras. Each of the eight mysteries that make up this title come with an allocation of 27 stars that are available as rewards you can earn. You will need to earn a sufficient number of the current's mystery allocation before being allowed to progress on to the next mystery and your investigation.
Your opening investigation will begin with the case of the Missing Doll. This item was the property of the owner of a magic shop, It attracted attention due to its eyes of transparent crystal. Its disappearance was likely to upset customers and cause the good will, that the shop had earned over a number of years, to dissipate. Naturally you will be obliged to put your investigative skills to the test as you attempt to track down the missing doll in the first case of your schedule.
However your skills in the area of investigation is such that numerous other cases will be waiting for you to solve them. Following the case of the missing doll, you will need to investigate the Ancient Tome. Microphone on a Rake. Hidden Guest, Memory of the Stars. Moustached Revenge, Lonely Feather and conclude with Heir.
As mentioned earlier, each of these cases have an allocation of 27 stars for the to the investigator to earn. These stars have been divided into nine groups for rewards for completing different puzzles. Each case can open with two sessions of Hidden Object game play that each consist of two scenes linked via a centrally positioned switching button allowing you to flick between the two. The required items, in both scenes, will be presented in text format.
Keeping the Hidden Object sessions company. each case will feature a pair of Spot the Difference puzzles plus two scenes housing cut-out circular sections that require you to reposition, and often twist, the circles so that they complete the scene. Other puzzle type that need to be tackled consist or single instances of putting together a jigsaw, finding the pieces of an object mixed in with a pile of clutter and colouring in an outline sketch with a pre-defined palette and using your mouse as the brush.
While you have little say in the order in which you need to proceed through the list of cases, this restriction does not apply to the puzzle sessions. These can be carried out in any order you wish. When on working on a case, you can tackle its puzzles in any order that pleases you.
