Xiaomi 10T Pro

Having recently told you about the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite now I get the change to test the 10T Pro. This is a larger offering and my ruler tells me it is 6.5 inches from screen corner to corner. As you might expect for such a large screen it is also somewhat heavier.

The Xiaomi 10T Pro measures 16.5x7.7x.7cm and where the camera block protrudes on the back as much as 3mm the viewable screen is 15.6x7.4cm which gives the notional diagonal imperial measurement of 6½ inches, the claim is 6.67 inches but as the corners are rounded that is not possible on the screen. The screen is 1080x2400 pixels.

It has a 5000mAh battery so all but the very heaviest users should be able to get two days of use between charges.

Going around the outside has the volume rocker and then the on/off button on the right side. The base has the dual SIM entry point, USB ‘C’ port and speaker.

The left side is clear, while the top has a pin hole microphone. The back has the camera block it is just over 4x2cm and is proud of the base of the Smartphone by around 3mm, this is at the top left of the back, the whole of the back has a mirror finish. The face has the forward facing camera top left of the screen but it does not really interfere with your view of the screen.

Boot up is fourteen seconds and shutdown less than three seconds.

The main camera is 108MP with a Samsung 1/1.33 inch super sensor. There is also a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera a 20MP offering.

Video can be captured at up to 8K at 24FPS, 4K video at up to 60FPS and slow motion video in 1080P at an amazing 240FPS.

The display is 144Hz so very sharp and clear images all the time. 144Hz means 144 images a second is possible, far more than the eye can detect but great for scrolling items with no break up.

It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa core 865 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB Flash Storage.

It has wired fast charge capability at 33watts, so a full charge from empty should be possible in only one hour.

The case and screen have an anti-bacterial coating and there is also an invisible screen protector also with anti-bacterial coating.

In the first six months after purchase there is a free screen repair should it be needed.

While this is a 5G unit the current restrictions prevent me from traveling to any, however it does work fine with 4G both in the home and out and about during my one hours exercise allowance.

I found this a very well balanced unit and could not find anything to moan about during my test period.

The Xiaomi 10T Pro is available in Cosmic Black from Vodafone for £47 a month with £29 upfront, this gives unlimited texts and calls with 25GB of data, however other plans are available.

The handset is also available SIM free from Amazon for £530.
