Animal Kingdom 3 is a Hidden Object game with puzzle solving aspects.  Developed by Pixel Crate, this title sets out its game play over 15 locations featuring numerous animals.  The location's animal population will be spread over two different scenes which will need to be access as many times as required at each location in order to carry out certain tasks identified by symbols representing a puzzle, paw print and camera.

The three tasks that make up a location are those of completing a puzzle, searching for a list of individual animals and looking for a specific number of types of animals.  While you are in control over the order in which you visit the locations, there is a restriction with regards the order in which you tackle the three task types,  You need to have tackled the list task, where you should find the puzzle symbol, before you are granted access to the puzzle task which will involve a mini game style puzzle.

With the puzzle symbol in your possession, you will then be able to tackle the specific challenge for that location.  This puzzle will take the form of an image that is broken up into numerous pieces to be used as a jigsaw.  In some cases you might need to rearrange sections of an image to create the picture of an animal.

The List and Group sections of a location make use of a familiar format with one exception.  As mentioned the List task will contain a Puzzle symbol while the Group task replaces the Puzzle symbol with those of a paw print and camera symbols.  Incidentally the camera symbol will capture a picture of the scene for inclusion in a photo album while the paw print delivers a titbit of information regarding a certain animal that made the paw print.

In either case you will be able to switch between its two scenes when searching for the required animals.  However you do need to be aware that some animals will sometimes make use of the vegetation in the scene by hiding behind it.  As a result this vegetation will need to be removed, by clicking on it, in order to find a required animal. 

Assisting you in your search for the required animals, you will have access to a rechargeable Hint feature.  You also have the ability to zoom into a scene by using the right mouse button.  While useful in pinpointing a required animal, the Hint feature will be unable to assist you in finding the Puzzle, Paw Print and Camera symbols that form part of the game.
