Mixing Hidden Object and mini game puzzle solving, this next title puts you to work at the Lost & Found agency.

The Lost & Found Agency has a vacancy for a detective to work in its investigation department.  After a brief meeting with Emilia, a director of the firm, you are quickly hired to fill the vacancy and work for the firm.  So begin Lost & Found Agency, a Hidden Object Adventure game and the subject of this next review.

Available in Collector’s Edition format giving access to some bonus items, the game combines a number of locations that are based on Hidden Object type challenges mixed in with a selection of mini game puzzles which will require solving.  As the main focus of this game concerns its Hidden Object aspect, lets start with that element first as you start on your new career as an investigator.

Often reusing scenes to keep you well occupied searching sites for its Hidden Object element, the chosen locations tend to of the busy variety.  While the view of reused scenes may be familiar, the content, selection of tasks and requirement will show a certain amount of differences as you search for items.  Integrated into each scene will be a raccoon which has a tendency to conceal itself in a variety of ways.  This raccoon should be found to aid your performance reward.

Scenes will also contain certain areas which are concealed behind an outbreak of sparkles and could contain items you need to find.  Clicking on them will open the view to reveal further content.  These areas tend to automatically close themselves when they no longer contain required items.

Among your other tasks, you will be required to find an item that has been categorised as Lost & Found (it could be anything), along with a number of extra articles displayed one at a time as silhouettes plus the main list of required items.  This main list could be displayed either in text format or silhouettes.  In a few cases, items shown as silhouettes, once found, will need to be placed within a scene.

When text is used to display the list of items, sometimes individual entries will be coloured red or green to add an extra feature to its discovery.  An item coloured red will be concealed in a container or behind another item while the colour green is used to indicate that the item involves a task of some kind.  These tasks will be shown within a panel running across the bottom of the screen.  The collection of these varied types of items will bring a reward made up of stars and points.

At regular intervals, the steady diet of Hidden Object game play will be interrupted by a mini game puzzle.  A variety of styles and puzzling problems feature during these sessions.  A Skip option is available should the current problem prove too difficult for you.

Disappointingly the game does not have an underlying story or even a required target for the player to aim for other than reaching the end of the trail.  Your reward at the reaching the end of the game is to receive a notice regarding a follow up title.  You also get the chance to tackle the bonus items that have been bundled with this CE title.  These items are made up of bonus levels, lost items, wallpaper, bonus puzzles and mini games plus a music player to replay the game’s sound track.

You can download this title from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99 or Big Fish Games priced at £15.73.  The game requires a 1.6 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM running Windows 7 and later.
