Repairing a Crash

Adding to its Larauville series of titles, LGT SIA sets you the challenge of repairing damages caused by a space craft crash.

Take heed we have been invaded by aliens from another Galaxy.  Fortunately this warning only really applies to the residents of Laruaville.  While on a rush to grab bargains at a sale, the pilot of a UFO became disorientated by the appearance of the strange planet known as Earth.  This cause the space vehicle to crash on the place known as Laruaville.  Not surprisingly the crash caused a great deal of damage which you will need to help put right as the bargain hunting alien was uninsured.  Hopefully you will also be able to help the alien find its way home in the game of Laruaville 15.

Developed by LGT SIA, Laruaville 15 spreads itself over 100 levels of Match 3 action with an occasional mini game puzzle thrown in for good measure.  Using single and multiple linked areas filled with a wide range of decorative tiles, blockages and access to different tools, your main concern will be to remove ten gold coins for each level.  Completing this task will bring a reward of more coins which can be used to carry out repairs to the devastated area.

Generally the clear out of the required gold coins will be carried out by creating groups of three similar types of tile by swapping two adjacent tiles.  Often you will need to include the use of keys and locks, slider bars blocking access and making use of teleport areas.  You may also need to set off chain reactions plus create and use rockets that are capable of destroying rows or columns of tiles and producing moveable exploding bombs.  Access to a Help feature is provided and this will indicate a possible target area to be dealt with next.

From time to time the steady diet of Match 3 action will be interrupted by the appearance of a mini game puzzle.  These mini game puzzles tend to appear randomly.  You could be asked to find a number of differences between two similar scenes.  Another type of puzzle might involve moving blocking posts so that a clear pathway is created for a key to escape its confinement.  A third type of puzzle will require you to clear away a set of Mah-jong tiles from the game area.  While not as rewarding with regards to the coins earned for completion, the mini game puzzles are a welcome diversion.

Following each instance of repair work carried out due to the UFO crash, there will be a conversation between the free-floating alien and your on-screen entity.  As these two spirits (ghosts actually) float around this kingdom of the departed, the ensuing dialogue will be delivered in text format.  Some of the views put forward might be considered mildly amusing to many.

Laruaville 15 is a useful addition to this series of Match 3 game play series.  I downloaded my copy of this title from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99.  The game is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £7.56.  The game requires a 1.6 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM running Windows 7 and later.
