City of Stories - The Professor's Secret is a Hidden Object Adventure game from the Grandma Studio.  Available in Collector's Edition format, this title comes with a number of bonus items to supplement the main game action.  While some of the bonus items can be accessed immediately. others will require progress to be made in the main game before access is granted.

With the game being played in a choice of difficulty levels, there is a choice of opting for Casual, Advanced, Hard or Custom game play.  Whichever level is your chosen mode then the game and flow of the story will be presented in story book mode.  Using a double page spread, you will be presented with a story update of the left and your next task or action on the right as you are lead through the tale of Adele. 

As the daughter of the local herbalist, Adele has a strong desire to study science rather than follow the path that her father had planed for her future with his daughter entering into a marriage with the son of a suitable family.  How this story proceeds will form the basis of Adele's Adventure as you tackle Hidden Object scenes, solve mini game puzzles and make the necessary decisions regarding Adele's future.

Many of the tasks facing you in this title will involve a mini game puzzle.  You could be asked to plan a route across an area, rearrange segments to create a scene or fold a piece of paper to bring together the parts of a picture  Other tasks could include rearranging tiles to complete an image, completing a word square and position books on shelves to duplicate a pattern.  The successful completion of a puzzle will bring a reward.

Hidden Object game play will also make a number of appearances in this title.  The required list of items that need to be found could appear listed in text format, with different colours used to indicate which items would require some work before being selected.  Silhouettes could also be used to represent some listed items while images and small sections of the scene might also be used.  Whenever a face appears among the list of required items, this will indicate that  you will need to talk to a person within the presented scene to receive important information.

Each completion of a task, either of the puzzle or Hidden Object variety, you will bring the reward of coins.  These coins can be used to furnish a Laboratory section in the title's Collector's Edition feature.  Also available as part of the Collector's Edition is a Match 3 feature where you can build up a store of gems that can be used to purchase a MegaHint feature that can be use within the main game when looking for items.
