As Christmas draws ever closer here are two boxed game products that remind you of the fact every time you look at their boxes. First a box that contains eight games in the one box. Second a fun filled race to the North Pole and it does not get more Christmassy than a visit to the North Pole.

Christmas Games

The eight different games in the one box are Xmas Lists, Xmas Charades, Xmas Trivia, Santas Sack, Bah! Humm Bug, Under The Tree, Santa Says and Silent Night.

These are stated as suitable for 12 plus and 2 or more teams.

There are eight packs of different cards – actually four packs of double sided cards – to get get the eight packs. Also in the box are a large while pad of plain paper and a slightly smaller marked ad of paper to keep scores for all eight games. There are also four large pencils with fitted rubbers on the ends a large 9.5cm tall egg timer that runs for 66 seconds and a conventional dice.

Finally over eight sides of A5 the rules for all eight games.

I found Cheatwell's Christmas Games available from Amazon priced at £11.74.

The Christmas Express Game

This game has a large solid fold out board of 51x51cm in the box it is folded into four but it is made of strong cardboard so will fold out to full size without danger of splitting.

This game is stated as suitable for age 6 + and for two to four players.

There are eight push out cardboard pieces, four plastic rests that the pieces can fit in and a pack of seventy good quality cards.

Finally an A4 folded sheet to make four sides of rules.

The object of the game is to be the first person to travel the length of the train track that stretches across the board from the Start to the end at the North Pole.

The pack of cards is made up of different types and the rules explain what you need to start and then how you progress.

At the time of publication the Christmas Express Game is available from Amazon for £15.49.
