Buddy Phones

While they are stated to be for kids these fitted me without any problems and as they lacked any child orientated advertising they could be worn by most adults without any problem. This is not just a smaller version of an adult headset as it comes with three different volume levels for Toddlers, Kids and Travel with the levels increased by 10dB for each mode and unless you show the child how to do this they will never know it’s called ‘Safe Audio’.

They are 18cm from the base of the ear pads to the centre of the padded headband and the same from side to side when the ear pads are parallel.

For those noisy times there is ANC active noise cancelation.

Another feature that may appeal to the young is Buddy Link that with the aid of a 3.5mm cable these headphones can play output to another set of headphones.

Linking Bluetooth was very simple and quick and of course once linked every time you reconnect its automatic.

For those times when two way communications are required there is a 14cm long arm that clips on to give a rather good microphone.

Also supplied in the zip up hard sided carry case as well as the microphone is a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and a USB ‘C’ to USB lead to charge these wireless headphones.

A single 40x55cm fold out sheet is the instructions for 23 different languages.

The side of the left ear pad has a button for ANC, a slider for ‘Study Mode’ and a 3.5mm socket to link to another set of headphones. The side of the right ear pad has three buttons, volume up, multi-function and volume down. A Bluetooth button is below these with the USB ‘C’ socket on the base.

They are described as suitable for age 3 upwards but as stated I was quite happy wearing them and I am a great deal older than that.

There are also two fold out leaflets the first giving a two year warranty and the second a two month trial of an App Mussila that is a music learning offering.

I always try to mention any big or small problems but I cannot find any and for me these headphones are quality and therefore I recommend the very rarely awarded smiley 5x5 award.

At the time of publication the BuddyPhones are available from Amazon for £27.99.
