Find All Things Christmas

Yet another puzzle offering that requires you to earn Stars in order to make progress.

Combining features found in several different other offerings, Find All Things Christmas brings together puzzle challenges that are placed in a series of locations.  This product, developed by Best Friend Games, entitled Find All Things is available in Collector's Edition format bundling a number of bonus elements which supplement the main game play.

Providing you with access through the game's different locations and types of puzzle game play is the use of Star rewards,  These Star rewards need to be earned as the means to move on to the next location.  Initially you will need two stars per move to the next location but later in the game this entry option will be increased to three Stars in order to progress.  Unlike other titles I have encountered this approach to progress restriction, any Stars unused in a level will be discarded.  You will need to earn a fresh batch of Stars for each location in turn.

As you enter each location, you will be presented with a choice of four separate puzzles that have the ability to offer a reward of a single star for each time it is completed.  Generally three of the presented puzzles will involve finding a text list of items from a particular scene, searching for pairs of items from a pile of clutter or solve a jigsaw by putting together geometric shapes in their correct position.  The fourth puzzle in the set will be a random choice from a selection of different types of puzzle.

With this random choice of puzzle, you could be faced by a variety of puzzle.  You could be asked to restore a scene by swapping strips, section or rotating section of its content.  You might be faced with the task of finding match pairs from face down cards or spotting the differences between two side-by-side scenes.  Other tasks could involve finding sections of a scene or by the removal of a set target of tiles from a Match 3 grid.

Having worked your way through the game's main levels, you will be allowed access to the game's bonus items.  These extra items include extra levels, wallpaper access, music tracks and the opportunity to view any souvenirs purchased with the coins during the main part of the game.

Find All Things can be purchased from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99.  It is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £14.74.  The game requires a 1.8 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 411MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
