Trip to Europe 9

Taking a trip to Europe could help improve you Hidden Object searching and puzzle solving skills.

It is Big Adventure time again as AVI Games has developed version 9 of its Trip Europe series of Hidden Object and puzzle solving offering.  Available as a Collector's Edition product, this title takes you on a journey to 20 European countries as you search for hidden items and solve various mini game puzzles when in the company of a family of four named Robert, Helen, Lucy and Tom.

The travel schedule for this trip follows a set path which you need to progress along to make progress although you are allowed to step back and revisit a previously visited location should you so desire.  Your travels will begin with a visit to Sofia, Bulgaria.  As you move on to further locations, you get the opportunity to check out Pavia, Italy, the Belmaris Palace in Portugal, the Geirangu Fjord in Norway, the Kromlau Rhododendron Park in Germany, a traditional house suitable for coping with extreme temperatures in Madera Portugal and Molos Limassol Cyprus.

Each stop-off point will find your activities spread over two stages that could include a raccoon figure, stamp icon that will add a scenic image to your holiday album and certain items portrayed as silhouettes that need to be located.  You will also be presented with a list of required items that have been integrated into the scene.  Sometimes the list will be in text format with a blue colour being used to indicate that a task will be required and a red colour if the item to be found in concealed in some way such as being in a container.  Each location comes with some brief titbit of information regarding the location that will appeal to some.

In addition your stop-off point will feature a mini game puzzle.  These puzzle items vary in type and difficulty and often come without the aid of a Hint feature.  These puzzles could involve Spot the Difference, match pairs of face down cards or find your way through a labyrinth.  Other types of puzzles could include reassembling a picture by swapping sections, arrange the places visited in their correct order and removing screwed objects from a panel board while keeping control of the screws.

Having completed the main section of this latest European excursion, you can then undertake various bonus items.  There are a further ten locations to visit and 20 mini game puzzles to solve as you collect souvenir items from locations, unlock wallpaper and access a music player.

Prospective tourists can download this travel schedule from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99.  It is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £15.04.  The game requires a 1.6 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 539MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
