While HP are best known for quality Laptops and Notebooks they also do other things like this 27inch flat panel that can display both 1920x1080 at 60HK and 2560 x1440 up to 165HZ. This is called a gaming monitor and is 27 inches corner to corner.

It has quite a heavy base and arm, the screen is 62x36cm and is 1.5cm thick at the edges. The base is 21x20cm and the arm is 35cm tall 5cm thick and 3cm wide. The base of the screen can be as little as 5cm above the base or as much as 15cm above it, both of those are in landscape mode. As far as portrait mode the total height is not enough for a 90 degree twist unless you move the stand well forward on your desk and turn the screen backwards a fair amount, after all this it is not designed for an automatic switch. This however is not surprising as all the gaming programs I know are for landscape connection.
8cm up on the back is where the external connections are one Display Port and two HDMI as well as the mains lead.
My unit came with a mains lead and a Display Port cable.
If you think you can adjust the settings the control is 10cm up from the bass on the right edge and just outside this is the on/off button.
Brightness is clear and sharp as is the colour, it is often dark colours – near black shades – that often look not so good but here they were excellent.
While I did try 1920x1080 the vast majority of my tests were conducted at 2560x1440 and these were rock solid. The reason the 1ms refresh times.
While most will buy this for graphic games I enjoyed looking at a lot of images with a good range of colours during the testing period. While most will want to play whatever games I had several non games open at the same time and was able to switch between them seamlessly.
