While taking a celebratory break you could take the opportunity to solve a variety of puzzles.

Happy Holidays, an American expression used for various celebration events, is subtitled "Trick or Treat" is a recent release from GameOn Production.  Following the recent trend of bundling various mini game puzzles within a single package, this title makes use of a Halloween theme to feature the earning of finances to decorate a digital version of your home.  Available in Collector's Edition format, this title comes with some bonus levels and wallpaper images that can be downloaded.

The game spears its main content over six different locations.  You start off with a Haunted House  scene before moving on to visit a Living Room, Book Store, Farmer's Market, Parade and a Little Candy Store.  At each of these locations you will be faced with an arrangement of six types of puzzles which can be tackled in any order.

Heading the list of puzzles will be a Hidden Object puzzle which can be tackled with the required list of items being presented in text or image format mode.  Both versions of this type of puzzle will contain three coins and three ghost image figures.  The coin can be used later in the game to finance your efforts to furnish your digital residence.

Positioned next to the Hidden Object puzzle will be a Show the Difference puzzle that can be tackled in Easy or Hard versions before moving on and setting about finding all the duplicates in a Clutter scene.  Actually the items are not really duplicates as there is no consideration regarding size when matching pairs.  You will need to clear away all the clutter to complete this puzzle challenge.

Included at every location will be a puzzle that requires you to work with a torn picture and put together the pieces to recreate the original,, This puzzle can be carried out in Easy or Hard mode.  I must admit to total failure with this particular puzzle.  While I was often satisfied with the repair work I carried out, the puzzle would never accept my solution.

Rather than stick with the same type of puzzles for the final two puzzle in all locations, the remaining two puzzles varied in their type.  You could be asked to find the entries in a word square, complete a jigsaw, clear a Solitaire layout or play Paopao as you link icons.  Other puzzles types used include playing Sudoku with symbols not numbers, swapping sections in a Rhombus picture, navigating a Labyrinth, or reassembling a picture broken into section made up of Squares and Circles.

As mentioned earlier, this product is available in Collector's Edition format with a number of bonus items.  The bonus items feature three extra location designated as School Dance, Kitchen and Track-or-treat.  These locations contain a Hidden Object scene, Spot the Difference puzzle, repair the torn picture plus puzzles to merge balls, assemble a picture and swap elements in a triangle picture puzzles.  You can also download four wallpaper posters.

Happy Holidays - Trick or Treat can be downloaded from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99.  The game requires a 1.0 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 607MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
