For the next Amazing Weekend offering, AVI games has released Search And Relax 2.  This Hidden Object title is available in Collector's Edition format which bundles bonus levels, extra mini game puzzles, a Souvenir check list, music player and wallpaper option with the main action.  The usual options of creating profiles, adjusting volume levels, viewing the various scenes in full screen mode and a tutorial are available when setting up the main aspect of the game.

Using a Star method of progress control, this Search And Relax title splits its main content into a series of Blocks which must be completed in sequence.  Each Block consists of three Hidden Object modules and a mini game puzzle.  The Hidden Object modules allow you to earn up to three Stars for each one and this amount can then be added to with an available two Stars being from the completion of the mini game puzzle.  Up to seven of these Stars can be used to give you access to the next Block with its content as you progress through the game.

In order to earn the three Stars for the Hidden Object scenes, you will need to play the game three times using each of the three different methods of indicating the required items to find.  While the content of the scene will remain the same, the required list, displayed as text, image, silhouette, part of a set number of one type of item mode will featuring different items.  By default the choice will be that of a Text list.  You get to decide which method to use when earning your Star.

As well as the required list of items, you will also have the opportunity to look for a Raccoon portrayed in the scene plus a souvenir item and up to three objects identified by a contour image of an item.  In order to assist you in searching for items, a rechargeable Hint feature and magnifier facility are available to find most items.  However these facility will not help with finding the Raccoon or Souvenirs.  Fortunately missing out on these additional items will not affect your Star reward as these features only apply to the required list.

The final component making up a Block will be the mini game puzzle.  A variety of puzzle styles can be used.  You could be asked to find the matching pairs from face down cards, Spot the Difference between two similar scenes, rearrange sections of a scene and direct two balls into their correct holes with pre-set moves.  Other types of puzzles used by this title include completing a jigsaw, drag sections of an image into position and rotate section of an image so that a scene will reform itself.  Each puzzle comes with a choice of Easy or Hard version with each bringing a reward of a Star.
