I see quite a lot of ladies wearing large watches so this could be considered a unisex offering. However my wrist is not particularly small and I needed to take a link out of the strap to be able to place this near my wrist bone without the removal of it the watch had to be nearer my elbow so a lady may need to take more links out of the strap.

The case is 43mm and has a silver coloured band just outside the viewable dial and then outside this cut metal designed to look like precious stones so quite blingy. The dial is close to 1cm thick. The band on my unit was silver in colour, but there are two other option available.

The watch charges by USB and a circular dock fits onto the rear of the watch and it then wakes telling you to download Wear OS from the iOS or Android store. This then sends a six figure code so the watch links all very quick and easy.

Some will go for lots of functionality such as answering phone calls and getting notifications and while the watch can do all this it does have a cost in battery life and this could mean having to charge the battery daily. However should you use it solely as a timepiece and to count steps and analyse your sleep then twice a week could be enough. However to track workouts via Google Fit on Android would leave it as every couple of days.

It has a built in speaker and you can make and receive calls via Bluetooth and via Google assistant.

If you have Google Pay on your phone you can even use your watch as the payment tool.

In pre Covid times there were places I went to that taking your phone from your pocket could encourage a moped thief so assuming those times ever return waving your wrist might be a little more secure.

The display can be set to operate on the flick of the wrist or by touching the single button on the right side.

There are numerous different watch faces available, three are on the watch but lots more are on your phone ready to install. The default watch face will show number of steps taken, below this the digital time and below that your heart rate. At the bottom of the screen in a semi-circle the amount of battery charge left as a line of dots. However you can add a sleep app that has lots of helpful information. It will also work with Cardiogram a payable App.

As an older person these things are perhaps more important to me than following a fitness routine that can also be loaded onto your watch.

Other watch faces may help you more with fitness my main goal is current survival so those are the features I have mentioned, but it also can link to Fit and other Apps should you wish.

My only worry is the battery life during my test period; it would probably improve once you decide what items you need all the time instantly.

Available from the link below for £279.
