"Reflections of Life - Sleep's Embrace", "Grandma"Grandma would like to invite you to Lunaria.  This is a magical realm which is home to some fantastic beasts and various magical creatures that are under the protection of the Guardian Spirit.  This invitation comes in the form of a Hidden Object Adventure game entitled "Reflections of Life - Sleep's Embrace" which is available in Collector's Edition format.  The game's content is split into distinct packages entitled Lunaric Wanderings, which will lead you to Lunaric Celebration before delving into a Secret Diary of your actions.

You are cast in the role of Grace who is a member of the organisation known as the Order of Guardians.  As a result of problems occurring in Lunaria, you have been sent for to use your skills to put matters right.  The magical realm of Lunaria has been afflicted by a fog which had the effect of draining the power of moonlight energy that Lunaria needed for its existence.  Anybody touched by the fog will fall into a deep sleep and, in come cases, then disappeared from the realm.  This situation will obviously require your help and skill to restore matters.

Responding to the call for help and receiving some assistance from Selenea, who is actually one of the main protectors of the Guarding Spirit, you are able to enter Luneria.  This will allow you to begin your work of searching for clues and restoring this realm where even trees and animals can communicate will you and relate the problems they have.

Of course Grandma does not expect you to work unassisted.  The usual features will be available to help complete the multiple tasks that will face you.  Arranged across the base of the screen will be various tools.  This set of tools will provide access to a Journal recording your progress and current task, System Guide, Inventory, Map and a Hint feature which houses your friendly Owl which can interact with items out of your reach.  Additional help will be provided by the mouse cursor which changes shape to indicate when it is in the vicinity of a possible action and can be put to some use.

In order to correct the situation in Lunaria you will need to find certain moonstones that can be used to activate certain altars in order to sort out any disruption that now exists between the three main protectors of the Lunaria way of life.  These three protectors, namely Orion, Astron and Selenea, do need to work together but this can not happen until you have managed to track them down in Lunaria and remove their issues. 

As you travel around the realm you will need to complete various tasks with occasional interruptions from mini game puzzles and Hidden Object scenes.  The mini games used in this title offer a variety of styles.  You might be asked to reassemble a picture from elements or put together the irregular pieces of a jigsaw.  Other puzzle types include arranging symbols in a grid, arranging segments to create a path and select evil-looking spirits in the correct order.

Hidden Object game play presents its challenge in different ways.  You might be required to look for pairs in the scene or need to search multiple scenes to find the required items.  In some cases you might need to replace items in a scene rather than find objects.  There was also one incident of game play where you will need to target different areas of the night sky and then use different filters to find the required constellations to solve a problem.
