iLuv Bluetooth Speaker Stand & Fit Active Earbuds

Listening pleasure for a group with the Bluetooth Speaker Stand allowing you to view as well as listen to stored content. The second is something called Fit Active earbuds that stay in place even when you engage in activity.

iLuv mySound Mo’Beats iSP245

This is a device that can about almost any Bluetooth signal from any device that has Bluetooth. I tried a total of four devices. Perhaps the most impressive was an Android Tablet. Using its own speakers the sound at maximum is adequate in a quite room.

Pair with the Mo’Beats and you are searching for the Tablets volume control to lower the output level as the speakers on each end of the cradle gave a volume level that was around 100% louder than without the Bluetooth connection.

The cradle is 22.5x7x4cm and is just that with no physical connection to whatever device you are outputting from.

However if it is video from your device its internal speaker is cut out and the superior speaker of the Mo’Beats is used. You then have hands free while the video is played. You can of course remove the Android or ‘i’ device and the Mo’Beats unit still receives the sound providing you stay within the normal Bluetooth reception distance.

There are just two connections on the rear of the unit, mini USB to charge the units internal battery and a 3.5mm jack to allow you to use the Mo’Beats unit with any device that does have Bluetooth via a 3.3mm cable.

Just above the two connections is slider on/off switch and a pin hole Blue LED that tells you its paired or not. On first pair it omits a sound when the pairing takes place. Pairing is almost automatic just select Bluetooth on your device and the iLuv device is shown and you just click on pair.

While it provides an efficient speaker for MP3 players it really excels as a cradle to hold your device whilst playing video. Sound quality is rather good in fact to match it with standard speakers would probably cost much more.

The iLuv mySound Mo’Beats iSP245 is available from the link below for £49.99 with free delivery.

iLuv FitActive iEP416

Let me own up immediately, I am neither fit nor active but the in ear grip means these will never fall out by mistake.

The lead is 1.3metres, mine was red with black connectors, but other combinations are available. The final 1metre to the MP3 player or phone is one lead. The first 30cm are two leads with the phone answer button 15cm down the left earbud lead.

There is no clip to attach to pocket, shirt or blouse. The earbud is a soft silicon as is the surround in a bent finger shape, it is the latter that keeps the earbud in the ear even when your head makes the more exaggerated movements likely when your walk becomes a run or indeed when your head starts to move in time to your music.

As with most units there are three sizes of silicon buds included, two of which have the bent finger included. The sound quality was quite good and perfectly acceptable, one test involved the London Tube and with a small increase in volume level I was able to drown out the noise of the tube in tunnels.

I see from the illustrations they say ideal for jogging, biking, skate boarding or hiking, I tried none or those activities. The iLuv iEP 416 Active Fidelity Earphones are available from the link below for £29.99.
