Relaxing Time - Paradise Resort is a Hidden Object game that is available in Collector's Edition format.  As its title might indicate, the game is set at Paradise Resort, an establishment that is due to prepare for its grand opening before it guests arrive to enjoy the facilities that will be on offer.  You will be required to help get everything ready which hardly seems to fit in with the Relaxing Time part of the product's title.  Naturally you will not have the time to enjoy the resort's facilities yourself.

On your arrival at the resort environment, with its adjustable volume levels and full screen viewing, you can opt to tackle the game in Casual, Advanced or Hardcore difficulty level.  You will be required to work your way through a wandering trail of tasks that need to be completed in sequence.  While you can return to a previous task, moving forward can only be accomplished once the current task was completed.

While many of these tasks will involve Hidden Object game play, scattered at regular intervals will be a task identified by the letters MG.  Meaning Mini Game, this will be a task to give you a break from the steady diet of searching.  Hidden Object scenes of the current location will contain numerous small items that my aged eyes struggle to find. 

Running across the base of the scene will be a panel displaying the required items needing to be discovered.  Sometimes this list will be in text format revealing specific items or a group of items that match certain conditions such as paired items, differences between scenes, items made from a similar material or two items that go together to reform a required item.  In some cases you will be required to find items identified by silhouettes or a small part of the scene.  Occasionally you will need to replace items within the scene instead of finding it.  Assisting you in these tasks will be a Hint feature that is represented by as a magnifying glass.

When not carrying out a Hidden Object search, you will need to tackle one of the game's mini game tasks from its collection of puzzles.  Often giving you the choice of an Easy or Hard version of the problem, you will be challenged in various ways.  Starting with a ball shooter task, this will involve stopping a moving line of balls from reaching its destination point, you will need to tackle traditional and irregular type jigsaws, recreate scenes by swapping segments, connect tiles to reach a target and remove symbols from a grid.

Having completed your full tour of duty of clearing up rooms so they are ready for guests, fed and groomed horses plus exploring mysterious caves, you will gain access to the bonus items that are bundled with the Collector's Edition version of the title.  These items consist of a bonus chapter, wallpaper, Collectibles and Achievements.  Developed by Do Games, this title is available from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99 or from Big Fish Games priced at £14.79.  The game requires a 2.0 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 777MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
