The Forgotten Carnival

Buildings, structures and people are not meant to vanish but that was before Amanda and Charlie were involved.

e-Funsoft's latest excursion into the world of Amanda's Magic Book of Match 3 game play has now increased to version 14.  This particular episode, which is entitled "The Forgotten Carnival", begins as Amanda and Charlie's attention is grabbed by the news that a travelling Carnival has mysteriously disappeared overnight and taken with it staff. performers and those visiting the event.

On investigating the now deserted area where the Carnival has been previously, Amanda and Charlie discover a young girl wandering around lost.  The girl is called Mila and she had been visiting the Carnival with her father who had vanished along with the Carnival stalls.  Mila was clutching a card bearing a symbol of an eye which Charlie seem to recognise.  The card started to emit a light which drew the three children along a path that lead to a ghostly apparition of a long-forgotten Carnival and Match 3 game play takes over the action.

e-Funsoft has made some minor alteration to the way it presents its Match 3 lay out with its game play.  Rather than position the grid used in the game in a central screen position and sandwich it between power-ups on the left and the level challenge on the right, this arrangement has been redesigned.  The grid now sits more to the right creating more space to fit both the power-ups and level challenge on the left.

The actual game play remains the same.  You will still need to use the usual range of the different methods of removing tiles from the grid and causing artefact tiles to descend to the base of the grid from where they can be removed.  Rewards of stars for completed levels remain the same but there is a slight difference in how they are used.  Upgrades are now carried out using a selection of scenes relating to elements of the ghost Carnival rather than tackling chapters as happened in earlier Magic Book titles.

Although the structure of splitting the content into five chapters for the story line, e-Funsoft has added a mini game puzzle with each chapter.  Depending upon the chapter you could be faced with a Hidden Object puzzle or need to locate the differences between two views of the same scene.  These puzzles will need to be completed within a set time period to receive a bonus.
