It is not an exaggeration to say correct assessment and intervention using this package could save a life in an emergency.
This seems like quite a unique product. It is small yet produces a good depth and range of sound from built in speakers. If your musical tastes are not the same as others then it can be used with headphones.
Not on this ocassion a new computer memory processor, something for the kitchen, it saves time and allows more time for whatever your chosen recreation maybe.

This is the second of two reviews on small quite similar digital cameras from Kodak, read them both to see the subtle differences.
This is slightly smaller and maybe a little more stylish in design. It is 8x6.5x3cm and weights around 200grams. The first major difference is the larger TFT screen this is 4x3cm. The next is this unit comes with a solid rechargeable battery as well as the mains lead to recharge it.
This label tends to imply up market, the way things are put together, the offerings, in fact the label commands and gets - a premium.

Kodak have produced two cameras that have very similar specifications, originally I planned to review them both together but decided against that as there are more differences than may at first appear.
So here I will concentrate on the slightly larger C340 unit. It is 9x6.5x4cm and weights around 200 grams with the two AA batteries inserted. There is 16MB of internal memory. There are five image modes 5, 4.4, 3.1, 2.1 and 1.1mega pixel. Taking images at 5mega pixels would mean only seven images could be taken.

A number of DAB radios have sleep timers so it was always on the cards that a DAB clock radio offering would be produced.

Not exactly the same as a modem or a router, this unit is solely there to allow PCs to talk to each other, mind you if a PC has internet connectivity then if you allow it other PCs can use it.
This is a five port switch so up to five PC's or notebooks can be linked together using this product. It is a 10/100 unit and providing all the PC's have 10/100 cards - or in the case of a notebook a PCMCIA or built in offering they can all talk and transfer files. Of course printer sharing is also possible and in a small network environment it is more likely that the printers would be connected to a PC than be a 'network printer'.
WordPerfect a name that anyone of a certain age will immediately recognise as the only word processor worth knowing about, nowadays it currently seems to play second fiddle to Microsoft Word.
However the box has a large 'Microsoft Office Compatible' notice and for any younger person to consider it this is a requirement. The box says there are eight packages in the box, my take would be somewhere between 7½ and 7¾ as any time limited version -as one product is- can not be considered anything like a full product.
A lot of people cannot have a PC in the lounge because their other half is worried about the look, here is something that is thinner than a video or a lot of DVD players.
Three different packages all from Encyclopedia Britannica and all republished by Focus. All of these are aimed at the 3-6 age group.
Often something is described as portable meaning you do not need a JCB to move it, however the real meaning of portable is being able to use it without a power point.
Something a lot of small and some not so small boys want to do, however this would normally need a great deal of space and a fair amount of money.

This is very small unit and it would easily fit in a pocket or purse. It looks smart with its brushed silver front, most importantly it takes decent images.
Regular readers will know I am a keen Palm user. This however is a new departure as it is the first Palm device to have a hard disc.
This is an All In One sometimes called a Multi Function Unit. It is an Inkjet Printer, Flatbed Scanner and a Colour Copier all in one very small package.
The popularity of DAB radios increase and currently if you take your old analogue radio in most retailers will give you a 10% reduction in the cost of a DAB unit in part exchange, the old unit is then refurbished and sent to Africa.
i.Tech was a new name to me and the one positive to come out of a day spent at a conference a couple of months ago. This unit is 37.5x11x13cm this allows space for two speakers and thus a perfectly acceptable stereo sound. It comes with a small 24 page manual that in places could have been a lot clearer, however once you have managed the initial scan - I am told this is automatic on a new unit - there is less you need to do.
Yes this is the puzzle game that is sweeping the country faster than the Rubik Cube. So play all the games you could ever want or just feed in the information to solve that fiendish puzzle no one else can.

Ever wanted to transfer your notes and jottings to a PC without the need to retype or worst of all redraw them. Then the DigiMemo could be for you.
If I say WordPerfect, anyone over the age of 30 will probably immediately say Word Processor, this package is that but it is also a great deal more all in a DVD case.
If WAN and LAN are words that fill you with apprehension then this router from Belkin and the software supplied may make its implementation somewhat less painful.
This grey oblong box and be used
vertically and for that purpose a stand is supplied in the box. In it's
more usual horizontal mode it is 24x15x3.5cm (add another 3.5cm to the
15cm depth for the cables). It has a silver grey top and the rest of
the unit is near black. The front edge has seven LED's all
clearly marked and well documented in the manual. As indeed are the
connections on the rear of the unit.
Inkjet printers can often be thought of only in terms of colour printing, of course they do this but often they can also read various card types. Sometimes even pen drives, occasionally they can print on CDs and once in a while also print using Bluetooth.
Acer do seem to refresh their notebook range rather frequently, this of course means they always seem to be able to present new features before almost all of the competition.
Recent PCs and notebooks tend to have a 10/100 port but those trying to get that little extra bit of life out of slightly older kit could find this Belkin device of use.
The maximum dimensions of this adapter
are 8x5x2.5cm and there is then a short fixed USB cable of 36cm that
can be plugged into any USB port. The top has a single LED that lights
when a connection is made to a router. This means that your older
notebook can connect to the LAN and therefore also to the Internet.
This 11B product is possibly the solution for anyone trying to let more than one PC access the Internet simultaneously.
I must admit my various forays into Wireless networking have had shall we say limited success. Things today - working with Windows XP - should be easier and often they are, but sometimes ?. Here I attached the ZyXEL modem (reviewed 30/5/05) to the APC Wireless Mobile Router and switched both units on. I have a PC with a PCMCIA card and also a notebook with a PCMCIA card.
This is a hard disc and DVD recorder/player but it also has the ability to do several other things. It should be an ideal piece of kit.
I do hope the in
the title sentence gave due warning. I have had this unit for some time
and after trying everything I could think of - while waiting for the
manual to arrive - I passed on to other things.
Remembering the days when a floppy disc (a real floppy) were more than enough for data and an operating system make this device seem more than huge in capacity.

Want an extra phone line? There are many ways of getting one apart from the more obvious BT or cable phone services. Broadband is one such candidate.
The promotion of VOIP has in no small part been promoted by Skype and others who allow Free calls computer to computer, but the quality is not always as good as that from a phone and there are problems, you both need to be at a computer and you could not call anyone on a normal phone line. This last problem was solved in the case of Skype by 'Skype Out' where for only a small charge you could ring a normal phone.
