Water Bottle Eau Good Duo

Having looked at a water purifying bottle, and a Charcoal stick water bottle earlier this year I was a little sceptical about what this one could offer but the fruit infusion side got my attention and I asked to see what it had to offer.

While you cannot actually buy one at the time of writing you can participate for £23 in a crowd funding site.

The charcoal stick idea is not new and I have recently reviewed such a bottle and this even has a similar way of hold the stick in place in the bottle.

Here however this unit has a significant plus in that you can insert suitable fruit or herbs and let their taste permutate the water in the bottle if like me the taste of the charcoal stick alone is not exactly your taste, so charcoal or fruit/herbs your choice.

This bottle is a strong clear plastic with a rubber side band that you can hold it by or even insert your hand behind if you take it with you while exercising.

The lid unscrews to allow fruit/herbs to be inserted and when back in place there is a filter that stops any pieces coming out so you just get the flavoured water.

According to the flyer I received with the bottle pink, lime green, light blue or black will be the top/strap colours mine was the lime green top and grey strap.

There is also a rubber loop near the top that allows you to attach the bottle to a bag or even a belt.

The top of the bottle has the screw on the inside – clever – that means you can unscrew the top and drink from the bottle directly if you wish, remember the charcoal stick is held in place so cannot fall out.

However for those wanting a quick slurp especially if you have fruit/herb bits in the bottle then bite on the top nipple and this moves up to allow liquid out having first passed through the filter.

The charcoal filter can be used for three months then manoeuvre it out of the bottle full instructions for insertion/removal are given on the sealed charcoal stick packaging. Boil the charcoal stick as shown and then it’s good to use for a further three months.

As far as the fruit herbs you will need to clean the filter of bits regularly but you get the taste without the bits and so a true dual purpose idea.

The two centimetre wide band running down each side of the bottle would give some protection if dropped but its main purpose is to slip over the hand to be held securely while exercising.

Certainly for me the fruit/herbs taste is more to my palette but the charcoal stick is meant to add calcium to the water while removing contaminants and giving a balanced PH, it is also stated to remove unwanted tastes and odours which include chlorine.
