Gaming Mouse and Keyboard

Here I am looking at a Gaming Mouse capable of 3500DPI, it has the name of Death Adder. I am also looking a keyboard, both these items are branded Razer and both connect to the PC using USB as their connection method.

Death Adder Mouse

You could connect to any PC and it would work out of the box as a standard mouse however it offers a lot more for the Gamer.

It is 12x7x5cm these are maximum sizes. The top has normal left and right buttons with a scroll wheel in between. The left side is waisted and has two further Gaming Buttons cut into the waist to give extra gaming features.

It has an infra red sensor in the base which is stated to react at 3.5G, beside this sensor is a Profile change button.

It has three Teflon feet two at the front and one that runs along the rear of the mouse to make it super slippy on your desk.

To start using all the extra features you need to download the driver installer from razersupport, run this file and start gaming.

The mouse comes with a two year warranty. The instructions are clear and well laid out in a supplied booklet. This is the first USB mouse I have used that has gold plated contacts, the supplied USB lead has a coated covering and is 210cm long.

The box tells me that the scroll wheel has 24 individual click positions. As regular readers will know my gaming days are long over but I did find this mouse extremely responsive and it did slide nicely over my desk.

It was maybe a little big for my hand in comparison to the standard mouse I use allday everyday but I sure I could adapt.

The Razer Death Adder Mouse is available from the link below for £49.99 with free delivery

Arctosa Gaming Keyboard

On removing this from its box the first thing I noticed was that the keys did not appear to have the letters written on them, they in fact do but its shiny black on matt black but assuming everyone can now touch type it would not matter.

The keyboard comes with an all important RSI strip attached to the front so the measurements will seem larger than normal. It is 46.5x22x2cm again these are maximum figures at the centre of the keyboard, the edges are slightly less.

It is a standard 105 key keyboard with separate numeric pad on the right. Like the mouse it can be used out of the box by just plugging in the USB lead, it has a standard rubberised coating and is 180 centimetres in length.

Above the numeric keypad and below the normal three LEDs is a seven button touch pad with various controls.

This time the drivers are on a supplied CD-ROM. Should you wish you can unscrew four screws to remove the RSI strip.

The Razer Arctosa Gaming Keyboard is available from the link below for £77.50 plus delivery.
