Mock U Rappers has three little cool dude creatures that sit in a tree and sing along merrily in rap style.  They have their own little rap and then you can record your own phrase which they turn into a rap and sing back to you. Only short phrases are allowed, and the Rapper beeps at you to say when your recording period is finished. Now being an adult, I always try these toys out on my kids - as they appreciate the finer points of toys a little differently to us big people. Mine gave it a thumbs up. I started playing with this with my youngest, and it caused enough loud laughter from the two of us to get my teenager out of bed!!  No small achievement!

The shorter the phrase the better "I like Chocolate", for example, becomes "I, I, I, I, I, like, like, like, I like, I like, I like, I, I, I, I, I like choc........o.......late."  OK it takes some imagination to hear that in your head, I know.  Singing into the toy and speaking into it produce different results, as does the person doing the recording.

There are three versions which vary in characters: one jungle, one farmyard and one birdy.

Like many simple toys, there's not a lot more to say about this one. My kids said they would be happy to get it for Christmas, even though they seem to be outside the age range. I would guess children from 5 upwards would enjoy this.
