I am considering buying an electric toothbrush and am looking at the Braun range versus the new Philips Sonicare. Has anybody used both? How do they compare?

One thing, the first 'batch' of these tended to be unreliable as to battery life (the battery is not replaceable), but I think there's been a relaunch and the latest ones are OK. Mine have lasted anything between one and three months, and the bristles don't 'fray' as quickly as with an ordinary toothbrush because - I think - one tends to exert less pressure.
