When I sat tiny the maximum size is 4x4x2cm, this is the bit that goes into the ear apart from that the thickness is .5cm or less. The weight is a minuscule 5grams. The actual ‘stone’ that provides extra charging while on the move is another 32grams. So even when the earpiece is in the stone the total weight in your pocket is 32grams.
Even though it is tiny it has two microphones one to capture ambient noise and the other to capture voice, the outside noise is reduced so no need to stick your finger in your other ear in a noisy place such as a railway station.
The face of the unit has no visible controls volume is simply by touch. On the inside there are two lights green for battery state and blue that flashes until paired.
The bottom edge has four contacts that clip into the stone (only fits one way) to give you a recharge when you have been out and about making lots of calls. To recharge the stone use the supplied micro USB lead and charge overnight.
My only whinge is that it has to be worn in the right ear, I am left handed but this caused no real problems for me as you only touch the area towards the base of the ear no dexterity required and I doubt many people use their left hand to scratch their right ear. However those who are deaf in their right ear will be unable to use the Jabra Stone.

Plantronics Discovery 975
click image to enlargeLike the item above this has a means of charging while out and about, this time a 8.5x3x3cm case that even has a display to denote charge state.
It is 7x2.5x2.5cm at the ear end. For the bottom 4cm it is less than .5x.5cm. The micro USB socket is on the ear end of the unit but you can also plug the supplied USB lead into the end of the case with the unit clipping into the case.
The top part near the ear flashes while charging. The volume control is on the side. It can be worn in either ear.
The case should give you enough time to make and receive calls throughout the working day. When charging level is low you receive both a tone and voice warning that the unit needs recharging. These warnings occur at 30 minutes and again (more vigorously) at 12 minutes so you should be well warned of the talk state remaining.
A 14 page manual explains everything and also has lots of illustrations showing what does what and how.
