Scherna Grooming system... 

OK so at the risk of appearing 'over-gay' (Sky One trash tv expression) i bought at the weekend a new electric razor/hair clipper combo and it's great! i bought a Scherna 3 in 1 cordless gizmo. It comes with a power handle that you attach one of three heads to for either shaving (a double foil) currting hair (a diamond sharpened clipper) or trimming a beard/moustache (trimmer). The clipper and trimmer come with the guards to trim to different lengths and are great in design as rathe rthan have separate guards for each of the grades they are multiple guards in 1 thanks to a cunning scale on the side that you can clip out to make longer etc.. the power handle (very macho!) is easy to hold and despite appearances quite ergonomic.

i have used it to shave my head and beard and brilliant!!! the shaver is excellent - my previous shaver was one of those with 3 heads - this has 2 foils and is easy close and efficient. Easy to clean too - it comes with a bruch to wipe the blades and you can rinse the foil under the tap..i then shaved my head (being a bald man!!!) using the clipper although without a guard - again excellent performance. i think that where this item beats others is that the clipper does not have any screws or parts that require maintenance other than the blades which need oiling. My previous clippers were always working loose creating random patterns in what little hair i have!

Changing heads is easy - they pop off and on although i was a bit nervous the first couple of times as it feels very secure...just a case of getting the hang of it really...

It's cordless aswell (nealry called it wirefree then whcih would have been confusing - how many geeks would have been thinking that a shaver operated on 802.11??!?!?!?) and after the initial 16 hour charge requires 2hrs of charging to give around 25mins use...

the whole thing come in a very snazzy metal case with foam inserts to protect etc...

All in all this is great - it's easy to use and looks easy to maintain - reasonably priced at £50 and does everything a modern man could want!!! Oh an about the overgay stuff - i'm married with 2 kids and watch football!!!!!
