They do a whole range of earbuds and here I am looking at two as well as a rather fine set of earphones. The categories they break them into TWeens, Street People, Beat Junkies, Sport and Fitness, Hi-Fi, DJ’s and Commuters.

These look fairly conventional earbuds if a little flamboyant (mine were red with a silver circle) and black ear fittings and leads.
Another case of the industrial scissors required to open the welded packaging however you can just do one end and then with care slide the inner box out, of course most will never replace the buds but you need somewhere to store the three unused sizes of earbud ‘tips’. Pioneer supply four sizes L, M, S and XS to cover even children’s ears.
The lead is 1.2metres and ends in the ‘L’ shape so whatever you plug it into the protrusion is less, the connection is gold plated.
Along with the normal information about volume levels and hearing problems there is a sheet in eight languages which again gives warnings as well as how to change ‘tips’, identifying the L and R buds and use of the fitted cord holder.
A good clear sound with some noise reduction as the correct sized bud will fit very snugly in your ear canal passage.

These are over-ear fitments that allow the bud to sit in the ear entrance, this of course means less noise reduction but for those who get irritated by having the ear stuffed you can wear these for far longer without irritation.
The over-ear hook is grey while the end opposite the bud is white as is the lead which comes in two pieces a .6metre lead then a 1metre extension you can wear either just the first part or both dependant on where you put your MP3 player.
Documentation was much the same as the buds above except the instruction sheet had 12 languages none were English. The back of the backing card had instructions in English about adjusting the ‘flexible hanger’.

These are the headphones – and very nice they are – even when typing while wearing them and no music being played there is a certain deadening of the keyboard sound.
The earpads are 10.5x7cm, the height of the headphones vary between 17-22cm from the base of the earpads to the top of the frame. The left earpad allows the insertion of two 'AAA' batteries (supplied) to give noise reduction when the headphones are switched on. When off they work as standard earphones with the padding around the earpads giving some noise reduction. There is also a volume control wheel near the support on the left side.
When you switch the headphones on a green light will appear on the side of the left headphone this not only introduces the noise reduction but also SRS surround sound to the normal two channel stereo. This will enable lower levels to be set on the headphones as with far less external noise you hear just the music.
If you do not want to hear the surround sound set the headphone slider to On 1 (rather than On 2) and you just hear stereo with noise reduction. The headphones are foldable and come with a in flight adapter, storage bag and 6.3mm plug adapter. The 3.5 to 3.5mm lead is 1.6metres in length.
